Yep, you did. I don't see how people multitable HU, just playing that one game with you was ****ing me up so bad on my other tables.

I started playing 8g a few weeks ago, so far I've been a solid winner. I've been playing the 2/4 and 10/20. I don't have any plans to move up from that any time soon. Here are my thoughts on the play at these two levels. First they play about the same although sometimes there might be one or two good players at 10/20. Most of the players are very bad at 2/7 and PLO and way to agro at NLH. That said, I've made most of my money at stud and stud/8, most of these players do not understand stud at all.

Anyway thanks for whoever started this thread.

Is 32/20 reasonable VPIP/PDR for triple draw?

Yeah, seems reasonable to me.

I suck at and hate O8

My question is, after a four hour session, is there anything wrong with, once I decide to quit, playing through my free hands in LHE, and leaving? I don't think so, but I figured it would be a good thing to see what others think. When I start playing, I jump into whatever game is going at the time.
Just fine. This is a much different situation than say playing in just the stud games and never posting a blind. Personally I also almost always quit just before a big blind. This is because I don't want to have the game "owing" me hands I paid for when I quit. It would look like I hate hold 'em or 2-7 to some opponents since I never quit during stud.

Also to the poster who was wondering why you aren't automatically dealt in free for the blind games when you have been paying the antes: a blind is like prepaying for a round, whereas an ante is paying for your portion of just the one hand. Hope this makes sense.

^Funny you quoted that. My philosophy has evolved considerably since that post, and I now won't quit before O8 because I want the practice.

2. Double check the title bar before clicking when faced with any significant action.
3. Try 2 mixed tables and 4 Hold Em or whatever your preferred other game is if you aren't satisfied 4 tabling mixed.
Anyone else have any helpful suggestions about multitabling mixed without going insane?

I find if there is like 2 10-20 tables the players will often pace it so the two are on the same game at the same time. This is nice when it's working.

PS-Wouldn't it be great if there was a program that writes the played upcards into a window which you could reference during the hand? Could this be done technically?
Anybody know the answer to this? This would be amazing if possible. Can you refer to stud tracker to see dead cards mid hand? BTW, to the person that wondered if it is ethical, the way I see it is if it is not illegal on stars than all is fair. I couldn't care less about collecting stats through tracking software.... just want to know dead cards. Thanks.

Also, would be cool if PS advertised the 8-game a little more. I think a lot of the NL specialists PLO specialist would like to play if they knew about the games.

If it simply showed you the dead cards it would seem fine to me as the info is freely available at the table. However if it were to compute new probabilities based on this information and give it to you in real time it would then be a no no imo.

The dead cards thing would be great for your discards when multitabling triple draw also.

Anyone know if there is a site that tracks results for 8 game? Was just at Highstakesdb and they had a break down of wins and losses in each individual game in the rotation for the HS players. While we prob all have general idea of how we compare against the field at certain games it would be so sweet to get a break down of wins and losses in each game.

Can you do anything if someone hit and runs in 8 game? I've been playing a lot lately and notice people jump in on PLO and NLHE and then bail when the round is over. Is this worth reporting or should I just not worry about it?

Hi,
I am S.Ruthenberg on Stars and I think I just played with Seb86 (of all the poeple who posted in this thread)

I have no clue about any software or huds for 8 game. Right now Im tracking my results with PT Stud, PT Holdem and PT Omaha but its REALLY annoying.
Is there another solution to track all the results / import hand histories with one program ? If not, is there a programm for 2-7 TD?

Also: Where do I get this "Stud Dead Cards" Program? And are you sure its legal?

What program do I need to see the mucked Hand of my opponent at a Showdown instantly instead of always clicking on the handnumber or using the replayer?

Also: 8game needs 200/400. The jump from 100/200 to 400/800 is way too high.

Thanks,
Sebastian

lol thats a lot of questions.

There's no single tracker for all the games. Pokerhands does 2-7, its freeware. Holdem Manager will do all the flop games (instead of having to use PTH and PTO seperately)

I only found one dead cards program and its on the banned list. I think someone on here made a program for dead cards but I couldn't get it work, seems like you need a PhD in Computer Science to install it :P

Re: mucked hands, the above mentioned program does that I think and for 2-7 I've seen DC videos where they have them for 2-7 so maybe ask deathdonkey.

Is there an issue of rake here? I dont know how they calculate it.
**Official 8 game Poker Stars Thread** Quote
01-17-2010 , 06:42 PM
Well at these stakes if an extra 2 bets go in each the rake is gonna be 20c more or a small blind. At 5/10 and above the rake would already be capped. I guess obv its minute but I think if you add up all the split pot games at the micro stakes where people are pumping it where its for sure splitting it might add up.
