Well, a "correct" defending range also depends on your postdraw skill as well. The better you are off postdraw, the more you should be defending.
But generally speaking you should be able to defend all the hands that fall in his stealing range. But being OOP, you aren't going to want to be too much wider than this. You also can defend things like 458, 468 or 346, but it would be better if you also had a paired card for these weaker hands.
