NL Badugi...call or fold?

Home game, dealers choice, 10 single blind, 500 buy-in.

All games are NL...no wild cards though.

I am short stacked with about 325...game has been fairly wild, but I'm getting no cards today...one player is up 4K, another down 4K.

I'm dealt As2cXX in MP...I limp for 10, though I could also raise here as well. In any case, we get a family pot of 6 limpers.

Everyone draws 2...

UTG, who is a maniac and stuck 4K, bets 300. I look down, and have drawn a J72A badugi. Four people are behind me. They all know that the original bettor probably has three decent cards, but no badugi. I'm tight, so if I call, others may call hoping for a side pot with maniac, or with a better badugi obviously. People in our game will not fold for a 300 bet from this maniac, even with a nitty player like me calling. Especially with two draws to go.

Do I call here or fold? I'm out of position, so I"ll have to stick, both rounds most likely, unless there is heavy side action after second draw.

One player called him...They both drew one on each street and bricked out, however both were drawing to three card sixes. Question: Knowing that they were both drawing to these hands, should I have still called? In my mind, it is close to a coin toss, but my badugi math is terrible.

Thanks.

You're a slight favorite against three people who made A23. You have 45% equity against A23,A23.

Snap call (raise-allin) ainec. Your hand is breakable, so if you do get into a situation where there are 3 players drawing 1 to beat your hand, then I would break it.

A hand like QJ2A gets harder to play though, but your two-way hand is way to strong to do anything but getting it in

It felt a little nitty to fold, and had there been more than 50 in the pot preshove, I would have called. Had he bet 50-100, I would have shoved allin.

Had I been last to act, I would have insta-called however.

It was one of those days when you zig instead of zag!

You can do 1-card draws just like the hold 'em 4 and 2 method and be pretty close.

Like the two A23 draws it's 16 outs (their off-suit 4-J's) twice or ~64% using the hold 'em method. At least one of your 7 and Jack has to be a blocker and both can be so dropping it to 14 and saying ~56% puts you right in there with Vempele's numbers. Not precise but if you're struggling it's at least half functional and obviously easy to do.

The quicker way to say that would be you can give them about 2% per out per pull (on 1-cards). Again, it's just an approximation but is quick and easy in that spot. That's if they always draw w/ perfect information and you always pat out regardless obviously as well.
