6 is not a good card. Deuces = aces and sevens = kings in normal poker, what do you think 6 represents?

edit: also if we are drawing desperately to 456 and hope to make a pat T why don't we also keep tens and nines pre-draw?

This is not a good way to think about 2-7. I think people way overrate holding exactly a seven anyway. Like I just laugh when people claim 234 is weak but 237 is strong.

Id say 234 is strong and 237 is stronger in that debate and 237 is way much stronger in a three or four way than 234 cuz 234 has more reverse implied odds in those situations (it is easier to make tough decisions with a pat 87 than holding nr6 or something like that) (HU duel different story). Still holding 2266x is like having dead mans hand in 5card draw, a little value for + or facing a situation that's need decision of more bets.

edit: btw I have no idea why we are discussing this, looking at OPs post it is a clear fold pre-draw and not to get into spots with 456xx.

Keeping a T pre means the best hand you can make is a Ten. 456 can make #4.

Do you always fold hands w/28% equity pre vs 7432 getting 3-1 with position?

Edit: We probably have close to 40% with 456 given SB's range should be at least (32, 732-852, 7432-8743, and pat hands up to 9s) if not wider. So folding pre seems bad.

And 654 has more equity than 54 it also is more playable. When SB is drawing 2 or 3, it's a little stronger for us to snow going 2-pat than 3-pat, for example.

This and DeathDonkey's responses are perfect. We are definitely defending and drawing 2. Anything 8 or under is a good card. It's not easy to get 5 unique ones, and gets much harder when you start throwing them away.
