On Sunday, the BSOP (Brazilian Series of Poker) held an 8-game mix tournament. Although the 20 minute levels made it a turbo, i was willing to take a shot and get some experience. The buying was affordable (+-180 USD).
Just so we are in the same page, I've started studying mixed games about 1 year ago. I have a pretty solid Omaha and NLH game but am a noob in all the other games from the mix.
Wanna post a couple of hands from the tourney and would like some feedback.
Hand #1: 2-7 TD Limit
It was the first round of 2-7, the BB had shown a 76532 on the 2nd or 3rd hand. UTG is a NLH pro but don't know about his mixed games, I'm UTG+1.
UTG (20k) Limps 100
Hero(20k) raises to 200 with Q 7542
BB(28k) calls 200
(1st draw)
BB Draws 2
UTG Draws 1
Hero Draws 1- an Ace
BB checks
UTG checks
Hero Bets 100
BB x/raises to 200
UTG Calls
Hero Calls
(2nd draw)
BB stands pat
UTG draws 1
Hero Draws 1- a 9
BB Bets 200
UTG Calls
Hero Calls
(3rd Draw)
BB stands pat
Utg draws 2 (which is very weird i know)
Hero?? Should i break my 97542??

I would break this quite easily, because you are very deep, and i don't think someone is making a move on you with Ts or 9s. Also, when you bet after 1 draw, villain does not know if you are PAT or not, and if you are PAT you would not be PAT with Ts or even 9s usually after 1st draw. I expect willain to have a lot of 87s in this spot, although villain mathematically has much more 9s and Ts when he draws 2 and stands pat.

Seriously, what is UTG doing lol!
Yeah, it's definitely a break. Too early in the tournament for Villain to be making a play, and even it was later on, it's a ballsy move to x/r pat into two players on first draw without at least an 8.

Meh somewhat disagree, bb can see at least one of his opponents is playing awful, he has incentive to try to win the pot w a lot of weak hands he would defend in the blind, and pot is getting biggish. I think it's a tough decision I don't hate freezing here.
Laughable false & highly douchey

I did actually break and drew a Q. The BB checked as did the UtG. I checked behind knowing that im beat and considering a bluff would never work. He turned out to have a 10 8 and scooped the pot..
