I've been playing some micros and really starting to enjoy 27TD

I'm considering raising some weak stuff otb like 2Jxxx

It's mostly cause my opponents fold sooo much preflop I want free limit blinds.

But I'm weighing this on how often they play back at me with pat hand.

So I decided to figure out how often you get dealt a pat #1/75432

I'll show my work...

Number of #1s : (4*4*4*4*4) -4 flushes = 1020.

I calculate odds of one of these occurring :

(20*16*12*8*4)/(52*51*50*49*48) = 0.000394 so 1/2500 roughly,,

When I multiply 1020 * 0.000394 I get 0.40188 or just over 40%

I actually don't think this game is tough. Especially with the knowledge that I am clearly running bad.

I enjoy Single Draw better. Position and bluffing are huge. Triple draw is way too much drawing with players calling every draw. You never know if they have it in Single Draw. Then again....they'll never know if you have it and if they check you can bet your busted hand and they'll be put to the test in a no limit format! Love it!!

I once was one of two players dealt 75432 in the same hand. Any math wizards able to figure the odds on that?

Playing Badeucey once, I was dealt 3457 with a 3 card 5 badugi. 4 bet the first and get heads up. Opponent drew one the whole way, as did I. On the final round I drew the perfect 2 for nut-nut. We went 24 bets and both turned over nut-nut.

The math kicker here is, both of us drew the perfect 2 on the final draw. He had 345-7 as well. Incredibly rare.

Was that by any chance on swcpoker a few days ago? Cause they have unlimited capping of bets and we both capped with 75432 like 40 bets for a split pot.

No math wizards here. I do think I messed up my calculation obviously. I just don't know how to fix it. I can't figure out how often you are dealt a pat 75432

You gotta 0.000394 X (1020/1026) which gives 0.000391699

Or 1/2551 Or 2550:1

So chance of dealt a pat 8 would be 18 times that Or 7/1000 or almost twice as frequently (64%more) than dealt aces in holdem

And a pat 97 would be 1.254% or 1/80 or almost 3x aces freq

I guess I will muck J2xxx

Nah mine was on Stars a few months ago. Bets weren't even capped on every street! The other guy slowplayed his so I thought I was good

The very first hand of A-5 triple draw I ever played in my life, 3 handed game I made a 6432A on (I think) the first draw and lost, the other 2 split the pot with wheels. I think at least one of them was pat, possibly both but can't say for sure, it was 10+ years ago now
