Re: Fixed Limit 5 Card Draw Hand evaluation thread
Moooooooooooraaawwwr.
PokerStars Limit 5 Card Draw $0.25/$0.50 - 6 players
BB: $5.85
UTG: $5.95
UTG+1: $1.90
CO: $3.20
Button: $10.00 (Hero)
SB: $12.20
Dealing Hands: ($0.35) (6 players)
3 folds, Hero raises to $0.50, SB raises to $0.75, BB folds, Hero raises to $1, SB calls $0.25
First Draw: ($2.25) (2 players)
SB discards 1, Hero stands,
SB checks, Hero bets $0.50, SB raises to $1, Hero calls $0.50
SB was almost unknown later turned out to be somewhat 17/14
I have median hand for straight+ but after he 3bets PD, draws 1 - can he ever have worse?

Re: Fixed Limit 5 Card Draw Hand evaluation thread
Normally this is a call, because if you fold this you're exploitable by players who can bluff raise you in the future. But who the hell is going to bluff raise at 0.25/0.5 when you stand pat? I fold this vs TAGs/Nits, but call vs some "strange" players...
This one was pretty fun:

Re: Fixed Limit 5 Card Draw Hand evaluation thread
Tails on a bluff himself. I dont believe he ever folds here. With broadway I dont fold ever without a super read. Most other straights Im more inclined to fold.

Re: Fixed Limit 5 Card Draw Hand evaluation thread
he should fold a certain amount of his very worst pat straights imo.

Today took a shot at 0.5/1 FL and this hand happened - I called for educational purposes Could someone experienced in this game explain villains line? Opponent was 17/13 seemed decent and supernova so chances are he knows what he's doing. If I'm betting busted draw his play makes no sense cause I'm folding, if I'm betting improved no sense either cause not folding. Only thing I can imagine is he's trying to fold out 2pair even then he has to be certain that I'm betting them after 3vs1. Is this play something I should be aware on higher limits? IMO my bet AD was ok, he has to look me up sometimes.

PullTheDead?
Predraw is easy 3bet. Vs standard CO you should 3bet pre even 3322x.
His c/r postdraw make pretty much sense...
He is puting 2$ to take down 3,75$ pot, so that should work only ~35%+ of time. I'm not doing this because people aren't folding offen enough, but it's not as spewy as it looks.
You never have QQup+ here (you likely 3bet + he has blockers) so your range is around 3322x-9988/JJTT which normally you fold after getting c/r by opp drawing 3. You ever call a draw here? BUvsCO? Without pot odds? Likely no, so he can't use his hand as a bluff catcher...

Re: Fixed Limit 5 Card Draw Hand evaluation thread
he absolutely has to turn his worst 3 card draws into bluffs. if QQ is the bottom of his opening range then its a very good spot for a bluffraise sinces hes seen an A and a K which makes you less likely to have AAup or KKup.

Re: Fixed Limit 5 Card Draw Hand evaluation thread
Standard call. Might be a cap pre vs the right type of players.

Re: Fixed Limit 5 Card Draw Hand evaluation thread
I'm not sure what is his range here . But if he bets JJ22+ after the draw , the median hand is 222(wright?), so it looks like i'm behind most of the time .

Re: Fixed Limit 5 Card Draw Hand evaluation thread
You're behind most of the time but you have something call "odds".
You risk 2 to win ~9 pot so you only need to be good 2/9*100%=~22% of the time and there is a tiny chance that you win vs his legitimate hands (QQup or JJup)
But most important is that if you fold KKup here you may get overrun by draws which are clearly in his 3betting range...too much to fold imo.

I wonder how can someone advise something at single hand without any kind of "past info" and notes?
There are a lot of ways how can u play here.
In vacuum it is call-call and well played but sometimes when u have notes and info on opponent u can fold after draw, or even make a donk bet.
And btw how can u rly think about fold after draw here if u called 3bet pre draw?
