Draw in the US?

Are there any US-facing sites that offer Draw games right now (or even Stud)? I still have an account on Carbon but am not having much fun there, and they removed Draw and Stud long ago. I miss TD.

Re: Draw in the US?

SwC Poker has a bunch of draw and stud games, and they run fairly regularly including some guaranteed tournaments.

WPN has stud and /8, which sometimes run. Although they seem to be going through some difficulties at the moment and I'm not anxious to put money back there.

I need HU TD practice, if you want to play play-money on Stars against me? I normally play for real money but don't mind play money if it's someone challenging.

super easy to learn how to use, even for techno-idiots like ourselves.

But yeah, swcpoker.eu has the major draw games that anybody else has, but they also spread two more that can otherwise only be played in live mix games (and even then, rarely at stakes below 40/80), Badeucy and Badacey.

One of the mods has a site, bigbadbabar.com, that can walk you through all the steps and get you set up w BTC poker.

EVERY major US facing site now accepts/pays in BTC bc the processing fees are a fraction of the cost compared w processing checks or even Western Union/MoneyGram. Also, BTC doesn't require ID or email so there's a much higher degree of anonymity for best sender and receiver.

Re: Draw in the US?

SwC is the way to go. Most games spread of any site, US or otherwise. Maybe we can get some micro 2-7TD games running on SwC, the action isn't great. And I'd be down for some play money 2-7 on PS.net.

Re: Draw in the US?

How/Why does a site remove Stud? Stud was the Cadillac of poker before Hold-em.

The only site I know that has removed Stud is Bodog/Ignition and that was when they changed software. It's not generally a matter of removing Stud as just never adding it.

I miss the old soft Stud/8 and 5-card Stud games on Bodog. Some of the most fun I've had playing a non-draw game, and good money, too.

Re: Draw in the US?

Managed to find a BTC ATM in my town, buy some, transferred to SWC. Shockingly easy. Yay!

y 5 card stud (Telesina with one hole card) was my favo during the Potraiser days (+66% rakeback).

I can imagine how Stud attracted old guys in the US when internet poker was legal.

svenskaspel.se only allows Swedish players and I once made a 25bet there in 0.5/1$ (10 SEK) stud with (Q2)A off suits and won.

I mentioned in a Books and Publications thread about obscure and underrated poker books that I read "Winning Poker Systems" by Norman Zadeh mostly for the info on 5-stud. That chapter alone made me a lot of money.

Imho, when everyone is improving at hold'em nowadays, the real money to be made is in being ahead of the masses on other poker variants. Some day there will be a new draw variant with a lot of action and the people on this forum will get rich.

That game could be Archie.

Would be epic if Seals could get that online

Or if US, Spain, France and Italy was allowed to play vs the rest of the world meaning much more traffic +much more "I Just Got My Salary Fish" players. Cuz if they were allowed then REGs can multitable non-standard games such as razz, lowball and 5card draw.

I wish stars would add Swedish Chicago poker with split pots between the high hand and the hand that wins the game after the draws been made.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicago_(poker_card_game)

They could like have SNGs with a scoreboard for that game, it is really funny game and most Swedes know about it.

And also T-game would be nice if site had much more traffic just like FTP during the HS-ring cheating days it was still a gold mine in the micros with players patting jacks in single draw in multiway action all-in.

Re: Draw in the US?

Just had a look at the MGM National Harbor website (Washington DC metro area)

Says they will spread draw if there's interest

I'm going to try to get some sort of game together or at least an interest list
