Big Easy Poker

10-10 Big Easy Poker is playing at the Rio right now according to Bravo.

WTF is this game? I tried to google things about it and use the forum search, but I am failing terribly at either of these.

Can anyone elaborate? Would this be a game I would actually want to play when I get to Vegas next week?

Re: Big Easy Poker

Someone in B&M reposted a tweet that explained "Big Easy": 6-card PLO8. Effin' sickos.

Re: Big Easy Poker

That's insane. I wonder what the best hand in that game is? (A2)(A3)(45) for the uncounterfeitable nut low every time it qualifies? It probably gets quartered a lot though...

Re: Big Easy Poker

One guy suggested (A2)(A3)(K4) in B&M, but your suggestion may be better. I really don't know where to begin. (A2)(AK)(K3) would also be pretty strong. And to snowboard: No, I actually wouldn't play this game.

Would prob rather have a 6 in my hand so I can 3/4 people on the wheel boards sometimes. Making just a nut low doesn't seem very profitable, I'd really just want to make nut flushes.

I'd prefer the low hands ... Implied odds are much better vs bare A2/A3 hands.

My favorite hand would probably be AA2345ts (that's triple suited!)

Re: Big Easy Poker

The thing with hi only hands like AAKQJTts is that you'll scoop a decent amount but only small pots. I'd almost prefer AAKKQQ as you'd be more likely to stack a guy w set vs set/full vs full on a flop like K93 vs idiots who think 99 is the nuts.

Yeah, big suits are where it's at imo. Suits are a requirement not a luxury in 6-card.

Re: Big Easy Poker

I agree that a 6 would be a good card to have quite often.

Re: Big Easy Poker

Ya, AA2346(ts) has to be better than AA2345(ts), imo. You still can't reset your old account Hanndy?

Fwiw, ccording to another poster in B&M, they claimed it was dealer's choice of PLO8, 5-card PLO8, and 6-card PLO8, but that most players chose 6-card.

Disagree. AA2346 needs a 5 on the board whereas AA2345 has a wheel (and 2 pair/set for redraw) on any board that has 3 wheel cards.

No response from the guy Buzz told me to email.....ill try harder in a couple months when he may be less busy with account resets. Just a creeper/lurker anyway
