9 card Omaha with multiple betting streets?

Many may be familiar with the flipping game 9 card Omaha, as popularized on Antonio Esfandiari and Phil Laak's TV show a few years back. For those not familiar, players start with 9 cards, discarding 2 preflop, 2 on the flop, and 1 on the turn. Normally everyone puts up some wager then the hand proceeds with no additional betting (i.e. it's a flip with some skill required).
I'm wondering if anyone has ever played with betting streets. If so, was it a good game? FL/PL/NL? Add a hi/lo element? How many handed? Any sense for how solvable it is?
