1. Can you recommend any good training videos for 8 game in general or should I just learn all the games individually and combine them in 8 game? If so are there any good training sites that have good vids on all the games in 8 game?

2. What kind of winrate a do you think are achievable at various stakes (0.5/1,1/2,2/4,4/8,5/10 etc). I would assume you can achiecve fairly high winrates as there seem to be a lot of fish on the 8 game tables.

3. There seems to be a lot of fish playing 8 game at around 3/6 and above, so why aren't the games more popular? Is it due to the lack of information out there on it?

4. Finally, is there any tracking software out there similar to pt4 but especially for 8 game?

Well, I can't even play 8 game and I'm no authority, but I'll try to answer what I can (although I can now play 12 game! on SWC 2).

1. Deuces Cracked has the best mixed/limit vids imo, plenty of sites have good big bet vids.

2. It depends

3. People get comfortable and if they are beating 200 NL for ex., then maybe they don't want to have to learn 7 new games, even if it means potentially lengthening their career and growing their profit. Many of the specialists have even been dipping their toes into the 8 game waters as the games can be soft as you mentioned. I'm sure some of them figure they have such an edge in their preferred game(s) that they are willing to take the worst of it in other games.

4. I'm not sure if anything is available for PS beyond the 4 flop games.

Your questions indicate that maybe 8 game is a poker game in and of itself, while as technically played, its just 8 different standard poker variations played in 6 hand rotation. Some are good at stud, others at big bet, others at flop and draw limit games. Break down the right decisions to make in each INDIVIDUAL game and that is how you will likely progress the most. Gl

1. No idea. Most players look like they are good limit players (usually good at LHE) playing very tight at big bet games others are MTT players that try to play the leveling game. Every game requieres to have a feel for the game that you forget when you dont play it frequently, unless you almost mastered a game that will take at least 2 years. And who knows if the 8 games are gonna be there in 16 years. So I guess the best approach is to play the 8 games from a comfortable stake and move up.

2. Rake kills unless you're very good at all games

3. Not so easy to exploit a fish when you know what mistakes he does in each game very slowly and after he does the mistake. Then he may leave and you didnt collected more than 12 hands each game from him

4. I heard ppl using different trackers at the same time, becouse some are better for certain games.

Isn't DeucesCracked still around?

I rarely get on here now since I can no longer play (USA) but they had a tonof mixed game videos and videos on the individual games as well.

Have a look at fpdb it's like poker tracker & Holdem manager but covers lots of games. It's free (open source) not as slick & polished as the paid for ones but does a great job.
