This is a re-entry MTT. I had not played this specific tournament in a while, but UTG is a regular in this game and according to my observations/notes on the laggy side. I don't think I ever caught him with a pure bluff at showdown or do something like 3- or 4-bet then draw one, I would have taken notes of that (sorry if that is unnecessary or insignificant info). No specific reads on the other players.

Milked from the teat of a feral cow
PokerStars No Limit Single Draw ($5.00+$0.50) t40/t80 ante t20 - 5 players

SB: t2,411 (Hero)
BB: t3,375
UTG: t2,370
CO: t6,234
Button: t4,149

Dealing Hands: (t220) (5 players)
UTG raises to t178, CO folds, Button calls t178, Hero raises to t467, BB folds, UTG raises to t1759, Button folds, Hero?

I think it is pretty straight-forward up to this point (not sure about 3-bet size maybe).

Well, if you have ever seen him 3/4b before and draw 1 before that would make this easy

But I guess I would still go all in and pat. You have a strong 9.

Others may disagree (and maybe rightfully so). But this hand vs a LAG who may be gambling because it is a rebuy seems like a play.

Just to add, let's make the assumption that he has zero 1 card draws and does this with a 98 or better.

According to SS1, there are 53,040 dealt hands of 9 high and better. 98s, 97s, and worse 96s account for around 30,000 of them. So you are around 55%ish to win. And there is dead money in there too.

You can only fold if you put him on a 97 or better imo

These numbers need to be adjusted. They do not account for card removal given that you have a 9. So this might be very close.
