Fired up some Badugi for a bit today. Very rusty and I have not played a lot of this game anyway, but always time to learn. This is a simple linecheck

Early in session. Basic reads on opponents. Big stack UTG+1 plays aggro. SB perhaps a bit fishy?

Pre, OK if I think the opener is on the looser side? Or two card hand in CO not good enough?

After the second draw I am not sure if I should fold and also not sure if the presence of the small blind who might tag along is good because more money in pot and I am drawing smooth, or bad because he can hit a better pat hand than me?

After last draw. I don't think I have a value bet here after the drawer and the Pat player checks to me? But maybe I am wrong?

dislaimer: i'm a Badugi noob and everything i wrote could be totally incorrect

PREDRAW:
Cold Call with 32xx vs UTG+1 (actually MP if 6 handed) is extremely marginal

1ST DRAW:
ok

AFTER 1ST DRAW:
ok

2ND DRAW:
ok

AFTER 2ND DRAW:
You have about 14% immediate pot odds and probably something like 10% implied odds, so i think that something like 12% equity should be enough to call.
So this spot it's close but should be alright to call

example calculation with made up hands:
Quote:
Badugi sim, 100000 trials, 1 draw:
Dead cards: 3 4 K 2 5 (imaginary discard)

Hand 0: 2 3 A -- : EV 12.7% - WIN/LOSE/TIE %: total 12.7/87.3/0.0 - badugi 12.7/6.3/0.0 - 3 cards 0.0/81.0/0.0 - 2 or 1 card 0.0/0.0/0.0
Hand 1: J T 8 5 : EV 72.4% - WIN/LOSE/TIE %: total 72.4/27.6/0.0 - badugi 72.4/27.6/0.0 - 3 cards 0.0/0.0/0.0 - 2 or 1 card 0.0/0.0/0.0
Hand 2: 4 A 3 -- : EV 14.9% - WIN/LOSE/TIE %: total 14.9/85.1/0.0 - badugi 14.9/4.2/0.0 - 3 cards 0.0/80.9/0.0 - 2 or 1 card 0.0/0.0/0.0
3RD DRAW:
Heads up I'd almost always valuebet nutJack Badugi in this spot 3handed? close again you can go either way I suppose

I don't mind pre much with your villain description and discards.

River is a slam dunk value bet, you're burying the other guy's range with J-perfect, and SB won't make a hand enough for you to worry about it. Arguably if you can't bet this card then you should fold turn because it implies that you're ascribing a much stronger range to the opener.

I think it's an exploitive adjustment that will be good against most people. The exception would be if it goes k/k/b/c/r, in which case I'd feel pretty good about folding.

I think you missed a bet here (on the river).

The rest of the play of the hand looks right to me, but Badugi is not my game.

The fact that SB doesn't lead should mean they missed and your dugi is HU with Villain, making the value bet even easier. Of course SH is fishy, so it's possible they went for checkraise or checked a stronger hand out of passivity.

Fold pre. As played, raise flop. Rest looks good.
