Blinds are $1/2, betting is $5 predraw + first draw, betting is $10 second + third draw.

Hero is in CO with 5A, V1 is MP1, V2 is BUT. Hero and V1 have played badugi as part of a mixed game but are by no means pros. V2 is a competent all-around poker player but less experienced in Badugi.

Blinds post $3, V1 (MP1) completes to 5, Hero 3-bets to $10, V2 calls 10, MP1 calls $5, all others fold.

$33

First Draw:

V1 draws 2, Hero draws 2. V2 draws 2

Hero has 5A

V1 checks, Hero checks, V2 checks.

$33

Second Draw:

V1 draws 2, Hero Draws 2, V2 draws 1.

Hero has 52A

V1 checks. Hero catches a physical tell from V2. V2 intends to draw 1 on the third draw. Hero bets $10,V2 calls $10, V1 calls $10.

Third Draw

$63

V1 draws 1, Hero Pats???, V2 draws 1

V1 checks, Hero Bets $10???

Spoiler:

As played: V2 calls, V1 calls. Hero shows 52A, V2 shows 63A, V1 mucks without showing. Hero wins the pot of $93 with the best 3-card hand at showdown.

3 bets and you all drew two?! Wow, that is loose.

Re: the Second draw- There's nothing wrong betting a three-card(A25) even against a player who drew 1 behind you.

*You might have a better hand/draw than he does.

*Betting on the second draw might even fold off V1.

However, standing pat going into the last draw OOP is a mistake. You have no idea if V2 has a Badugi, and you're drawing clean enough to where you either hit a Badugi and win, or, you don't complete your draw but your three-card holds up anyway.

I don't know if you actually did decide to stay pat, but if you think your three card is better than their three card, and you believe that no one has Badugi, yet, then you should draw.

[I just looked at the spoiler: you stood pat and were called in two spots and neither one of them had a Badugi? Or did you wind up drawing on the third round? You had to.]

You can open a5 from CO, but if someone have opened its a fold, and for sure not a 3bet.
First Draw: Check.
2nd draw: Bet for value. You should be ahead of both players, and you dont want to give them a free draw. V1 and v2 should have pretty weak 1 card draws, and you will pick up the pot here pretty often.
Third draw: Check/call or check/fold, depending on who villain are. ( I would call here most of the time. )
