Pre Draw: (1.4 SB) Hero is BTN with A J 8 4 2
UTG folds, CO raises, Hero calls, SB calls, BB folds

First Draw: (7 SB) (3 players)
SB draws 2, CO draws 3, Hero draws 2
Hand: T 8 7 4 2
SB bets, CO raises, Hero ?

I don't really like 87 draws in multi-way pots, but I have to continue here, don't I? And draw one? I think an 87 would have a significantly better chance of winning at showdown in this hand than it normally does. I hadn't seen the draw-three guy before and I'd only been playing a few minutes, but he's shown down a couple of rough hands already. I'm just a bit worried that things could get expensive. I suppose you just have to accept higher variance when an aggro player is involved. Thoughts?

Well, this is certainly true. I don't think you necessarily need to continue here, though given the players it's not necessarily bad either. I wouldn't decide whether to draw one until I saw what they'd drawn.

Edit: it occurs to me that there isn't very much of SB's range he'd have to fold to a 3bet for that to be a reasonable play.

Against an unknown I probably call, expecting to see them drawing 1 a lot of the time.

Tapir's last thought there is pretty interesting. SB's range is pretty strong, but a 3-bet looks pretty strong too so I don't know.

Yes, sorry I'd fast-forwarded the action in my head when I asked about that. Say I call, SB calls, and they both draw one. Draw one then?

A 3-bet certainly crossed my mind.

I think it's a clear draw 1. The pot has gotten pretty big and you don't want to give up any equity.

I think it's close. I might be inclined to draw two just because it's more fun, and might tilt the hell out of SB when third goes check-bet-raise-fold-call and you both draw one.

I wish I was good enough at this game to be engaging in dickmanship. I feel a bit better knowing that whichever option I took (including folding), it wouldn't be a serious mistake.

The pot size is almost a problem though, don't you think? In a big pot you want to be drawing to big hands. And that's the downside of reraising - I'm likely to inflate the pot even more with a marginal draw. And I'll have a hard time folding my number 15 or whatever in a big pot.

To me that's the most maddening thing about this whole game - the number of times you hit your draw but lose anyway, and unlike in other games that seems hard to avoid.
