Are 2 card draws underrated in 27NLSD?

I know the win percentages aren't good against 1 card draws and pat hands. There may be some issues OOP that the other player can draw fewer after seeing you draw 2.

However, there would seem to be advantages in NL to be drawing to a 7 or 8. You could put in raises after the draw, knowing your hand almost certainly good. There is also the potential to bluff representing you made a big hand. The opponent might have a hard time value betting knowing he might face a raise from what could be a big hand.

I don't know much about the game, and am partly basing it on experience with speculative hands in NHLE.

I play every week in a 2-7 S/D tourney and I've seen players draw two and hit a good percentage of the time! I like to only draw two if I've got at least 2 nut cards. Of course position is huge. I'm always raising heads up pre -draw with a good 2 draw from the sb hoping to take it down. So many factors involved. If I have a big nut one card draw, I almost always re-raise OOP against the frequent 2 draw drawers. "Snowing"is a term I never thought I'd be using until I played 2-7 live. I've gotten away "snowing" and been caught! Such a good game! Wish others tried running a tourney.

It's at a local club/post in CT. I've been running it (trying to at least) since last October. Started off as 2-7 S/D and now it's a mixed game of 2-7 S/D & NLHE. Game changes every level. So hard to try and get players to try something different.

Check this out: They mentioned my game on the final table live stream of this year's $1500 2-7 Single Draw Lowball Event #7 at the WSOP! Go to the live stream archives at WSOP.com and find event #7. They mention it around minute 49! It was pretty cool!

I meant drawing 2 cards to good TD hands, 7s and 8s, in late position or whatever. There are probably LAG and donkish players who draw 2 frequently.
