Cashgame or tournament

Predraw:
IP we raise 7543K or 8654K

one call from blinds, they draw 2 or 3, and check

we get 75436 or 87654

Do we snow right away or try to make a hand/possibly snow later?

What about when we have 75433 or 86544 predraw, and catch the straight first draw?

You should probably only be opening these hands from the button and then just mix it up whether you are snowing after the first or second draw. Then the more you snow the more you have to bet the river extremely light when you have a hand.

Not enough info, we bet and wait to see how many they draw before deciding. Generally drawing 1 more is fine since we still have a chance to bluff later in the hand. Also because we won't catch a hand we are ready to pat more often than not so waiting for another is more realistic.

Against a 1 draw we should snow more often as we have much less equity in this spot.

These are different hands. One can make the nuts, while the other can only make a rough 86. I think 3457x is ok from HJ or CO and 4568x is ok from CO or BTN in a playable lineup.

Snowing frequency will also be determined by how many our opponent has drawn. All other things being equal, we need to snow w the 45678 an unknown amount more often than the 34567. Besides being a weaker draw, catching the 7 is better than catching the 6 for our snow. But both hands are generally good snow candidates.

Also, patting after the first draw and betting the river looks stronger than patting after the second draw, when IP. We will get lead into on the river more frequently when we pat after the second draw.

I don't think we should necessarily snow more often against a D1. Of course our equity is lower. But more importantly, so is our fold equity. If our OOP opponent goes 3-2 or 2-2 while we've gone 1-pat, our snow has fold equity on two rounds of betting.
