I think the point is that it is SuperOrton we're talking about. Him not winning every match is a huge leap from where it used to be, and a step in the right direction. It seems to me that he has lost a lot more "big" matches than throwaway singles or tag matches.

cena and ryder both benefit HUGE from a ryder celebration beatdown from cena. would be a great feud to legitimize ryder and kill time til rock/cena without interfering in miz/punk and jericho/punk
12-16-2011 , 03:11 PM
as far as predictions...

every champ retains but ziggler, barrett goes over orton, and hopefully nash and h both die (but probably h winning that cuz obv h wins that)

But that's just confusing. In kayfabe, why would Cena do that? And it's not like doing that could really turn him heel with those who cheer for him.

easy. cena's tired of blood sweat and tears every day and getting booed while rock only shows up 4 times a year and everyone cheers him. cena's tired of helping ryder's career take off and getting nothing for it. cena sacrificed his title shot to give ryder one, came out to AA henry to win it for ryder, and still ryder gets cheers in every arena while cena gets booed everywhere. he's tired of the fans cheering for everyone but him when nobody works harder than him, etc

Idk I think there's much better ways to turn Cena heel. A Cena/Ryder fued would be terrible imo. Would anyone in the world honestly believe Ryder has a chance of beating Cena? It just wouldn't work and would be a waste of a Cena heel turn.

A Cena turn pretty much has to be on Punk or Orton. It does not seem believable to think he could turn on anyone else and get a uniformly negative reaction.

Well there is this guy called the Rock who he could have just AA and become the biggest heel in the company.
12-16-2011 , 04:51 PM
He has already AA'd The Rock. That's not a heel turn. But I guess he could do the whole "attacked him and took it way too far" turn.

Cena doesnt need to turn on a wrestler. He needs to turn on the kids to get over heel. His faceness is almost too ingrained that he could go out and beat on any babyface crowd favourites he wanted and the Cena cheerers would just wonder what they did to deserve it.
12-16-2011 , 05:04 PM
Turning on the kids would just be so non-believable though. I think he'd have to heel it up on the rest of the crowd and just be treated as a heel by the announcers. The kids would eventually follow suit and turn on him.

I would love to see Cena turn heel but at this point I've grown to be ok with his SuperFace gimmick. I just really really don't want to see Wrestlemania end with him and the Rock shaking hands in the middle of the ring, I think I would vomit.

Drink lots of water during WrestleMania. Wouldn't want you to dry heave instead.

Cena needs to turn on hornswoggle and beat up the little jimmies.

amazing when matthews asks booker about what hes gonna do if he wins the ic title, and booker says he hasnt even thought of that as a possibility

Wiki page for TLC lists Cena vs. Kane for a WWE Title #1 contender match. Can't find this on WWE.com at the moment. Maybe Cena gets to work after all.

- John Cena hinted today that he may not be at TLC on Sunday. Cena tweeted duing a Q&A session:

I will watch and enjoy TLC. Above all I am a fan.

Cena isn't currently booked for the show.

cena/kane makes sense i guess... but wtf at either of them getting a shot at cm punk. thats so horrible with adr, miz and zig all waiting. why dont they just have a standard feud, with kane trying to burn down the wwe and destroy its figurehead or something

also just finished watching smackdown and cant help but pick barrett over orton now (not 100% clean, but that kind of goes without saying)

CM Punk (c) vs. The Miz vs. Alberto Del Rio
CM Punk wins this easily. They've hotshotted the belt around a lot lately and they can't keep that up. I think Punk is probably taking the belt to WM so he keeps it here. There is no chance Berto wins; they've lost faith in him and he's done as a main eventer for now. There may be some good reasons for Miz to win, but he seems like filler in this match. CM Punk wins decisively.

Mark Henry (c) vs. Big Show
I love Henry as the dominant heel but lately he's been booked as the chicken**** heel. He kept the belt twice vs. Show with shenanigans. It almost seems like they're running out of ways for Henry to beat Show. A Show title reign would be awful though and I trust WWE to do the right thing and have Henry win, although I don't know how it logically happens.

Triple H vs. Kevin Nash
I predict that this match will probably be over in under ten minutes. Nash can't go and nobody wants to see it. HHH wins; even the bookers know that TEH WWE UNIVERSE doesn't give a **** about Kevin Nash. This angle needs to be resolved soon, as HHH needs time to sufficiently bury masked Kane on his way to burying Taker at WM.

Randy Orton vs Wade Barrett
Wow this is a tough one to pick. Wade has been pushed pretty heavily lately and Orton has just kinda been hanging around. I think Randy Orton picks up the win but this feud isn't over.

Dolph Ziggler (c) vs. Zack Ryder
Ryder wins; Dolph moves onto bigger and better things. I think Dolph needs to split from Vickie in order to reach his full potential. Dolph has the mic skills and the charisma to be successful without a manager. I would start the ball rolling on that at TLC; have Jack Swagger give some misguided interference that causes Ziggler to lose. Continue teasing dissention between him and Swagger for a couple weeks, and then have Ziggler turn on Swagger during a tag team match and give him a beatdown afterward or something. This would establish Ziggler as a heel going forward and just in case the fans sympathize with Swagger, he has Vickie to keep heat on him.

Cody Rhodes (c) vs Booker T
Cody wins. I can't believe this is on a PPV. This is the kind of match that should be on Raw. Prediction/hope: Cody wins via heelness; Booker gets the upper hand after the match and gets his Spinaroonie moment; Goldust comes out and challenges Cody and it builds to a match at WM.

Pretty sure Cena is about to get future endeavoured.

I was thinking last night that it was awfully strange to keep him off the card and was wondering if he failed a wellness test but they were just going to keep it a secret but let him serve the 30 days under a pretext of "Kane took him out" then have him return at the Royal Rumble.

Its almost certainly not that, but it certainly is odd.

I doubt Cena even gets tested for wellnes violations. Why take the risk? I'm sure they just fake it.
12-17-2011 , 01:17 PM
The report that HHH doesnt get tested cos his contract is as an employee and not a free agent talent was a hilarious loophole when i read about it.
