Watching the show, while on this thread, I thought that it was me who had the rogue opinion with regard to Raw's ending.

I guess I only hold one true rogue opinion around here:
Spoiler:
I think Alex Riley is awesome.

Times have changed, and people want to be entertained, but the fact that you can accuse Kane's promo of being bad is ridiculous beyond belief. It definitely shouldn't have ended the show, but it was a good promo, and it got the job done.

It's all Albertos fault.

No but seriously, why did this end the show? The segment was okay, but this should've been like the opener to the 2nd hour. I just don't understand why this ended the show.

I love how you can literally see swagger gritting his teeth figuring "**** it, im gonna bomb this sandbagging bastard if it is the last thing i do" and he legit pulls it off.

We have. That YouTube was uploaded in August and Riley was in the fatal 4-way for the US title on the September PPV. But he may have already been booked for that show by then.

I remember the botch with Swagger (****ing impressive that Swagger got that off), and I remember that he ****ed up the Royal Rumble elimination too.

But IDK, I think the guy's got a ton of potential. I've been a fan ever since NXT 2.

Riley was pushed too fast too soon. Him going over the former WWE champ and WM main event winner Miz repeatedly a couple months after he dropped the title was just disgusting and he just wasnt ready to work at the level they wanted to feud with Ziggler and take his title (good for Ryder however). However he has plenty of potential and his time will come again perhaps.

As for Orton, meh, i guess? Tbh i dont really care that much :/ Increases the chances of Bryan vs Christian at WM if its pretty serious and keeps him out for 6 months.

what the hell phill. Orton has been fan-****ing-tastic ever since his move to smackdown. This makes me sad.

I find Orton best in small doses. But yeah, he would normally be frontrunner for most improved in a normal year, though 2011 had Henry and Truth suddenly being relevant out of nowhere.

But yeah, not really fair to him.

also important to remember I didnt watch during the years which he was apparently unbearable and boring as hell so I may be more optimistic with him than others

orton has been really good this year. i don't like his character or the way he walks or does anything but he can wrestle.

So Rey, Sin Cara, ADR, Christian, Mark Henry, and now Orton are all hurt. That's a lot of major talent injured. Oh and I guess Nash is "injured" too...

hope orton can come back for WM if it's that serious. was waiting for orton/bryan or orton/xtian again.

Fwiw, this is exactly what i meant when i said the other day about how they are pretty screwed if they have just one or two top main event guys getting injured. They desperately need to develop talent like Punk even if it means taking some viewership hits in the short term due to the long term loss of top talent.

Within 2-3 years i expect to see retired due to age and injuries:
1, Taker
2, HHH
3, Henry
4, Kane
5, Rey
and maybe 6, Big Slow

That is a huge talent vacuum to be permanently missing. Sure, most have spent a lot of 2011 out injured but they have also got the rest of the roster losing X amount of time to injuries (see Orton, Christian AND Alberto AND Henry right now) who are now cycling out on the sick list.

Long story short, 2012 needs to be the year that Miz, Bryan, Cody, Dolph and Alberto need to step it up and be consistently part of the stories at the top of the cards and they need to fully commit whatever it takes to get them over.

In the mean time these top FCW guys need to start getting their shot and they need to have people like Drew McIntire **** or get off the pot due to the finite roster space.

SD! spoiler about main event and Orton getting hurt.

Spoiler:
(7) Wade Barrett vs. Randy Orton went to a No Contest. After about seven minutes in the ring, Orton threw Barrett over the guardrail and they fought backstage and up an elevator. There, Barrett threw Orton down a staircase off camera before running out of the building. Randy positioned his leg in an odd manner and was clutching his arm as the show went off the air.

every single other match was a squash and this match went 7 minutes. seems like the worst friday sd in a long time.

Good for him. I look forward to seeing if he has improved and developed some charisma and if he stopped acting like a guy who plays a wrestler on TV with his year in the wilderness of Superstars. He always seemed like a guy who had everything and nothing skillwise, like he had all the tools but didnt quite know how to use them or something, and just came off pretty poor because of it.

Breaking: WWE Has Come to Terms with Stairs!

WWE has wished Flight of Stairs (Larry Stepsen) the best in his future endeavors on 12/29/2011. It is rumored that Stairs is on Dixie Carter's list of big name stars she wanted from WWE, so this firing may be a blessing in disguise for TNA. Expect Stairs to debut in a new stable at Lockdown as the charismatic leader with Janice, the Announcer Table that didn't sell for Orton, Moppy, John Morrison, and a Hulk Hogan cutout.

Watched Raw last night, how does it make any sense that Miz wants a match to make up for the tainted Wrestlemania match 8.5 months after Wrestlemania? And then he proceeds to throw a match that he begged for. One should think that writers should be able to come up with something better to reintroduce R-Truth.

I think Kane would work better if his promo was like 2 sentences long. If he's a big red monster that is supposed to make people fear him you shouldn't make him human through a 10 minute speech. Just have him say "Cena, you don't need to rise above hate. You need to embrace hate!" Light some fire, throw away the microphone and you have something to work with. Then you can end the show with the actual main event and Ziggler celebrating.

agree infinity with drewipok. that Miz **** was so drawn out and stupid it blows my mind. and Kane really wanted Cena to embrace hate he shouldn't have stopped him and let him get lit up by the wall of flames. also why doesn't Kane hate Henry again? because Henry has already embraced hate? lol
