Tamina is a great promo too:

Charlotte was also terrible there imo, and it wouldn't shock me if she accidentally said Tamina's line. Totally underscores what I said a couple months ago about the difference between Charlotte and Becky on the mic.

It says a lot about today's wrestling when a sentence is considered a good promo.

I just really, really don't get why all the women aren't on one brand. They don't have anywhere close to the depth to have them divided into two shows. It's awful and the reason why there are no story lines and we just get 5way matches for the title every month.

If they were all on one show you could legit have upper/mid card and jobbers. It would be the deepest women's division ever imo

If they were all on the same brand Vince wouldn't give them the same amount of time they currently get on both brands. They'd get the amount of time whichever individual brand gives them now and 50% of them wouldn't ever get on TV.

Tough luck. Maybe that would give them incentive to earn TV time by trying to get over, rather than just get on tv by default. Not all male wrestlers on the roster are on TV either

"Earn TV time by trying to get over" is a lot easier said than done in an era where they're constrained by a script (often a really bad script).

Other than Alexa Bliss I don't think any of the women have shown ability to outperform the hand that's been dealt to them by creative. Most of them just aren't particularly talented and do not deserve TV exposure at the expense of the male wrestlers. I know the women haven't had the benefit of being part of compelling storylines but to be fair neither have the men over the last couple of years and we've seen guys like the Miz, New Day, Bryan, Cesaro, Slater, Sandow, Jericho, etc. overcome all odds and get over in the face of horrible writing.

Charlotte and Alexa Bliss are fantastic overall. Becky isn't far behind. Sasha and Nicki Bella are the next tier down, decent but not great and good enough to justify writing them into the show. Beyond that they are all pretty bad and it's super hard to get over the talented divas when they have nothing to work with other than each other which gets super old.

That being said, I agree they should all be on the same roster (Raw bc it's 3 hours) and hope the disparity in talent between the top of the card and bottom highlights their talent and helps them get over.

Other than Alexa they ALL need work on the mic. I don't think that gets stressed enough at NXT.

They're also set to add Asuka, Io Shirai, Kairi Hojo, and Candice LeRae over the next few months. Probably won't all work out but that's a decent amount of talent coming in. Women's tournament also might get someone else over decently.

Asuka is really great. I'm usually a doubter on non-English speakers' ability to get over but her in ring skill + natural charisma should be more than enough.

Io Shirai and Kari Hojo are both >>> Asuka in the ring. Especially Io.

Toastmasters and/or an improv class should be requirements for all NXT'ers.

Yeah, general acting ability is something that is hugely missing in the product. Becky took a few years off from wrestling and took acting classes and it shows. A lot of the roster (and I do think it's worse among the women for some reason) just sound like they're reciting a script and aren't believable.

Probably doesn't help when it's white male writers writing for women of color either

I'm pretty sure they do all that acting/improv etc stuff at NXT. It's just really hard to get really good at that and wrestling at the same time.

Yeah, they practice promos regularly at NXT. Some people just aren't good at them.

When Freddie Prinze Jr was on the staff, he would teach acting classes. Not sure if they still do that for the main roster guys, though.

just watched SD...man everyone is just so awful on the mic. whether' it's them or the material they're given...it's just putrid. They all just sound like they're reading lines a 5th grader wrote foro them off a teleprompter.

Tamina, charlotte, daniel bryan...they were all really bad. god this product sucks..

and wtf was Corbin doing with the fake out cash in? Like anyone expected him to cash it in on Jinder...ugh

Jinder is the champ so he will definitely have to cash it in on him.

Picture it now, Corbin vs Mahal headlining Wrestlemania!

Can't wait till Sea Creature turns on the evil banker Mr Mackleroy, and joins up with the Surf Dudes w/ Attitude-- such a natural connection.

If anything can sum up the state of wrestling in 2017, it's this post.
