A lot of people think Finn's going to win but that doesn't make any sense. Having him lose a multiway man match on Sunday is a lot better than having him win and then lose vs. Brock. I'm going with Seth winning but it's almost certainly between those two.

Better Superman Punch: Roman Reigns or Bryce Harper?

Yeah, this is what I'm thinking plus they seemed to have been setting him up to feud with Wyatt, which takes him out too. I'm thinking they wouldn't have Brock face Joe right now although that would be my favorite outcome and if Reigns really is planned to meet him at Mania, there's no way he wins. Seth by elimination.

I don't like to get hyperbolic, but I can't remember being this bored with Raw since 2003 when H was burying everyone.

That was more entertaining than this. Raw these days are reaching 2008 Cena telling poop jokes levels of bad.

Probably not a great sign for Raw that its most interesting feud is R-Truth vs. Goldust (though it's a nice feud imo).

Poor Alexa just died out there delivering that heinous "This is Your Life" segment. Shows how important the writing is that even her performance couldn't salvage that mess. On a completely unrelated note, I'm curious how many women writers WWE has.

Honestly, RAW lost it's biggest asset. That was Braun vs Roman. If Braun was still around, I'd at least throw RAW on as background video behind the $300k tourney but putting it on never entered my mind. The only other reason I was watching a few weeks ago was Neville and one thing in a 3 hour show is not enough even if it doesn't have my full attention. Nothing else comes even close to capturing my attention. Now that I think of it, Charlotte left as well and I loved her. Alexa's fine and she's a decent heel but she's a big peg lower than Charlotte.

fwiw, Da Meltz has said that Vince has big plans for July and August wrt SummerSlam but they just don't have any real plans until then.

I see two problems with that:

1) I don't trust Vince to come up with compelling storylines at all anymore. Not one bit.

2) No one is going to be watching by then.

It never occurred to me that Raw would be on last night. This wasn't a case of "I'm going to be doing something else and can't watch" or "this is awful and I'm making a conscious decision to turn it off", but "at no point last night did it even pop into my head that Raw was happening"

I know yesterday was a holiday, but it's not like I completely forgot that it was Monday. The connection in my brain that Monday=Raw used to be automatic. It's probably been over 20 years since I didn't even think of watching Raw.

When was the last time there was a good RAW episode on a holiday? Feel like those and the tape-delayed ones in England are always throwaways

Not only a holiday but combine that with it being a go home show before a PPV and you had a surefire recipe for hot garbage

So why is Kevin Owens in this money in the bank match? Doesn't it completely undercut the importance of the U.S Title by having their champ not even bother defending it at PPV's in pursuit of other (better) titles? I thought the whole point of making Owens champ was to give it some legitimacy.

So you think it is more legitimate to have the US Title holder say, "I'm good. I don't want the WWE Championship. I'll stick with the second best title."?

He said in his promo that he wants all the titles, which is pretty reasonable imo. It doesn't undercut anything.

The bigger inconsistency with Smackdown is the womens division. So instead of Naomi defending the belt at Backlash they book this awfully contrived 6 women tag match. OK, whatever, fine. It's bad, but it's been done before.

No worries! Naomi is defending her belt at MITB vs the winner of a 5 way match on Smackdown. No wait, she isn't, because they awfully contrived that match as a buffer to announce a Womens MITB match at the ppv.

While that's all fine and good, what is it saying about their champion that they are holding her out of back to back PPVs essentially to showcase other talent instead?

You're not supposed to care about anything that happens between Wrestlemania and Summerslam, because no one in the WWE does.

Or between SummerSlam and Wrestlemania, of course.

They're accomplishing the goal quite nicely.

You know the product's bad when it's the day of a PPV and no one's made a thread.
