Ahhhhhh, yes in that sumo match back in WM 21. I probably don't want to see Show in a sumo outfit. And I probably pity those in Staples Center, which is near my hometown btw, that witness that.

great raw.

weirdly it seemed like it was a raw with silly throwaway matches in between long, great promos.

99% of the time when shows are booked like that i hate them. but this time it was awesome. cena, game, eve and taker all killed it.

some other thoughts:

hating truth+kofi a lot. just a terrible combination. i get that they are trying to use kofi to get truth over as a face again, but really it just sucks and isnt gonna work.

tag team is probably gonna be left off the wm card, or in a dark match, similar to what happened to divas last year when boring eve was champ. cant see epico/primo getting a decent match on such a stacked card.

barrett injury makes me a sad panda. he really needs to win the next mitb.

Injury stuff from 411:

Quote:
Dolph's okay, Barret's not...

UPDATE 2: Dolph Ziggler is said to be okay after the Raw main event. He took a tough bump but was checked out backstage and determined to be okay.

Wade Barrett on the other hand has been confirmed to have suffered dislocated elbow.

UPDATE: WWE posted the following tweet to their account after Monday night Raw:

BREAKING NEWS: @WadeBarrett suffered an injury to his left arm during tonight's Battle Royal and was rushed to a nearby medical facility.

Barrett was taken to the back during the match with his arm in a splint.

Credit: PW Torch

ORIGINAL: Wade Barrett suffered an arm injury in Raw's main event battle royal. Barrett caught Dolph Ziggler after he was thrown over the top by Big Show and was seen holding his right arm. The infamous "X" was signaled and doctors came down as the match progressed. The injury appears to have been complicated when Santino went over the top and landed on the arm.

Ziggler was also hurt when his shoulder and arm hit the table.

R-Truth also needed help going to the back.

Kofi Kingston took an ugly bump but didn't appear to be hurt, while Cody Rhodes was limping badly from his match last night and was hurt when he did a kick and his leg gave out. He did get up and did several more spots.

funny how much i actually really liked cena and eve when they are portraying a character slightly different from who they are. They talk about being themselves all the time but how about actually acting like someone trying to make wwe entertaining like they did last night.

possibly why we all prefer 90% of the roster as heels. coz they arent just being themselves or what they deem in there own opinion is them being likeable

Just getting around to watching Raw. Thoughts in tags:

Spoiler:
- Opening with a Cena/Kane/Ryder package. So that's actually supposed to be the most important thing going on right now? blueboyaids.gif

- Eve talking to the Bellas...heel turn! ZOMG she was just using Zack. Eeeeevvviiiiillllllll. Cena...arrives just so he can leave. What? Did they just bury Eve's entire heel turn by having her plan fail in 10 seconds? LOL Raw Creative.

- Nice level of booing for Cena. Sounds like the kids are still cheering for Eve...did this angle actually turn out too adult? Do they not understand the concept of a woman using a man for her own benefit? Here comes the light-hearted, semi-serious Cena burial.

- LOL he used the Broskis/Hoskis line! Hoski chant! That's pretty great. Cena has known about Eve's deception for like 2 minutes now and he's already got a whole list of insults prepared? Seems thin.

- LOL Eve tries to mouth-rape Cena! This segment is making me LOL a lot, especially the 'STD' chant that's trying to start. Pretty terrible overall though, Eve heel turn is destroyed already. Which I suppose would mean something if she was actually important.

- Undertaker promo. He has hair again? I thought he cut it last week? Ooh he wants vengeance tonight.

- Bryan vs Punk again tomorrow night. Wonder how they'll avoid a clean ending again in that one.

- They're already announcing Sheamus vs Bryan for 'Mania...good plan. Gotta give as much build as possible. Mark Henry? So he's allowed to wrestle on Raw while he's suspended from SmackDown? Well, at least Cole acknowledged it.

- Ace/GOATunga FTW. Oh hai der Teddy. Teddy gets a chant. Ace - "Did you ever notice how much taller I am than you?". Not sure what they're on about here, "you've got your five and I've got my five". 10-man Battle Royal is kinda lame, I was hoping for a tournament.

- LOL, is this next match Team Black vs Team Latino? I'm not even gonna pretend that's not how WWE Creative booked it.

- Odds that anyone other than Jericho wins the Battle Royal? Close to zero I'd have thought.

- Ron Simmons...HOF by anyone's standards. Great choice. I was a huge mark for the APA. Wonder if we might get a one-off cameo reunion for them sometime between now and WM?

- JERICHOOOOO. That is all.

- Otunga looks a little more cut since his push started. Hope he's not juicing. Jackson's appearance absolutely kills crowds dead...no-one gives a **** about him. He just doesn't have a gimmick. OTUNGA WINS CLEAN?!? That is awesome. GOATunga is GOAT. And he celebrates by Tebowing...kind of. What a ****ing hero.

- Undertaker walking around backstage to the sound of Metallica? I can get behind that.

- Guess we're not getting the American Badass or any other form of 'Taker...was kinda hoping for some sort of gimmick tweak tbh. Interested to see what he looks like with short/no hair. Meh, I guess they're using the hood to hide it.

- Undertaker is a great talker and doesn't always get enough credit for it because of his gimmick.

- HHH has his tie done up to eleven as always. It always looks like he's deliberately wearing a suit that's too small for him.

- Marked out for 'Taker telling HHH to shut up. First time anyone's been allowed to do that in like 15 years. I'm looking forward to whatever they have 'Taker do to provoke HHH into accepting the match. Hope he kidnaps Stephanie and goes all Ministry on everyone. "You're a coward" chant, LOL.

- I absolutely loved the shot of 'Taker in the ring facing away from the ramp with HHH showing on the Tron over his shoulder. SIDE NOTE: I was burning a CD into iTunes during this promo and when it finished, I legit thought the Anonymous Raw GM was about to chime in.

- "You got it?" That's it? Match is on? All 'Taker had to do is call HHH a coward and say that HBK was better?

- HELL IN A ****ING CELL?!?! Okay, that I can get behind. Now 'Taker just walks away to the sound of Metallica? What the hell is that? Gotta be some sort of mind game. Either way, I'm intrigued. Really didn't expect to ever see a HIAC match outside the HIAC PPV ever again, especially not for 'Taker at WM.

- YES! YES! YES! D-Bryan is here. Hope he's not facing Big Show again. Cole says HIAC is on at WM. So 'Taker walking away was him accepting? Weird.

- Santino? LOL. You know, he's over enough that they could easily spend 3 months running a gimmick where he trains with someone more legit and gets good in the ring, as well as toning down the comedy just a little, and they'd have a really solid upper midcard talent on their hands. He doesn't have to be a career jobber.

- Kelly Kelly hasn't been shoved down our throats for a while. Also, Aksana seems to be more terrible in the ring than most of us would have thought possible.

- Oh yay, another Cena/Rock promo. It's been a long time since this feud was even remotely entertaining. Cena has his serious face on here. This seems like somewhat of a shoot. Cena ripping on his own movies was pretty funny. Wow, Cena is legit ****ing angry here and this might be the best promo he's cut in years. Really enjoyed that, and the more I see and read the more I'm convinced that The Rock really has sold out like everyone's saying.

- Punk has his commentator's jacket on! That's amazing. Cole calling him "Mr. Punk" is pretty lol too. I loved the starstruck teenage girl at ringside who Punk said hello to, she couldn't believe it.

- Would be kinda funny if Khali or R-Truth won this out of nowhere and suddenly got the WM spot for no reason. Ziggler with a T-shirt hanging out the back of his pants? LOL. FFS Barrett's music is SO TERRIBLE. Santino selling the arm like a pro.

- Khali sitting on the floor after being eliminated was funny. Cole has been ****ing awful on commentary tonight. Ziggler kip-up was sick, and the announcetable bump looked really bad. Crowd knows it too. Kofi's elimination was hilarious.

- "Did you say Kofi Rhodes? Somebody's Jamaican you crazy, eh Cole?" GOAT Punk is GOAT. Santino skinning the cat? Wow.

- Punk vs Jericho being official is good news, obviously. Little worried they might go for Show vs Rhodes at WM...maybe the Shaq deal fell through?

- Decent episode I thought, some AIDS but not much. WM is shaping up nicely.

I'd say that there's a very good chance Otunga and over half of the roster are juicing. Hiding steriods is simple these days.

I would have loved to have seen a tournament. WWE almost never has them and probably did some myopic study convincing them not to.

Yeah, that Creative Recall guy mentioned once during his blog's run that Vince completely hates tournaments. This made me facepalm since I like them too.

Completely agree. Tournaments are awesome, and the winner comes across as having earned the shot.

Battle Royals are dumb as hell, Hornswaggle won one last year iirc.
