Only 3 times somebody has cashed in and not won. Cena was involved in all 3.

So glad Corbin lost his briefcase. I can start watching SD again. Hopefully Corbin drops down to the lower mid-card where he belongs.

I wish I could be happy but I was really excited that Jinder was going to lose the belt and make Smackdown feel like a real show again. Would take Corbin as champ over him all day.

I could see Nakamura going over.

Becky Lynch lost clean to Natalya tonight lol. I wonder what her & Charlotte have to do to get the push they deserve.

They don't need him but I suspect they'll be used to get Roman over.

Haven't watched SD in forever and know nothing about Corbin and why everyone hates him but my god was that a hilarious burial

He's probably less terrible than the impression that you're getting, but he's Jeff Jarrett-level boring.

I like his finisher but he has no personality and is generally just boring in the ring.

I had high hopes for Corbin as he initially seemed to be a throwback to golden era heels but ultimately he never evolved into anything of substance, just boring and average all around

And he's weird looking. Long gross thinning hair, and that weird belly thing they finally put a shirt over.

He's very dislikable, which can be an asset. But he's also very boring.

I know that there is probably a less than zero chance of this happening, but could you imagine if Reigns did get back with them, and then turned heel on Ambrose and Rollins?

I haven't watched anything in weeks but any chance Rollins and Ambrose help Roman win at SummerSlam and they all turn heel?

Mostly this. He's not horrible, but he shouldn't be anywhere near the title picture.

There's probably been 2 or 3 times where I've said "this was the one chance to turn reigns heel!" and I'd definitely add your scenario to the list. Would really be outstanding.

If the Shield showed up to help Roman win the title, it would probably actually turn him face. I mean, considering there are supposed to be three other heels in the match anyway, maybe the reaction WWE really wants all along.

It's four people who are ambiguous on the heel/face scale. Roman and Braun have basically reversed the heel/face dynamic, as they are both treated like a heel/face, but are cheered like they are a face/heel.

You have Brock, who's just Brock, able to go against mega babyface Goldberg in their first match to basically being the babyface in their WM rematch, with no real change in character. Then you have Joe, who was originally a heel, but is now in the same ambiguous sphere as Brock.

Because of the ambiguity, you could see Shield helping Roman as making Roman a babyface (since Roman and Dean are clearly babyfaces). But that would make Roman turning on them even more heelish.

I didn't watch Smackdown but I'm hearing but I'm hearing Corbin cashed in and lost MITB dueto a Cena distraction.

Doesn't Cena face Corbin in a week at SS? So Cena just cost himself a shot at the title or am I missing something?

There's no guarantee that Shane would automatically make that match for the title. He might instead give Jinder his rematch at Summerslam in a triple threat match with Nakamura who earned a title shot too. Then Cena is shut out of Summerslam completely.

Not only that, but you can't even say Cena even did anything to cost Corbin the match. Corbin did it to himself. He attacked Cena, cashed in, then turned his attention to Cena when he climbed back onto the apron. Cena didn't even do anything.
