It seems like they've tried to book reigns as hulk hogan 2, Austin 2, cena 2, Shawn Michaels 2, etc and none have worked

meanwhile, the hardcore fans are clamoring to get him booked as late-98/early-99 Rock.

On Reddit (the only other wrestling board I go to) Finn is among the most popular wrestlers (I'd guess only AJ and KO are more popular). They soured on Rollins for a while, though they seem to be coming around after his recent performances.
I only read wrestlingforum.com and Finn's pretty hated there. Probably like 65/35 dislike but there are a lot that passionately dislike him and it's constantly brought up that he should go to 205 Live. Then there are others that say they want Neville brought up to the main roster and the main event scene . Even as a huge Neville fan, I have to say that's ridiculous.

Considering Vince wasn't the one to turn Hogan and Rock wasn't a major merchandise seller when he turned, has Vince EVER been in a position to turn a top merch seller and done so? My only thought would be Savage to feed to Hogan.

Err, Austin? Maybe I'm misunderstanding the question.

The reason for his refusal to turn Cena or Reigns has been because they are top merch sellers. Austin is a good one. Forgot about his short heel turn, but at least he had Rock to fall back on there.

EDIT: Wouldn't it be funny, after all this time, in another few years we find out that Cena and Reigns were the ones who refused to turn due to merch money and Vince/HHH were just publicly protecting them by refusing to say so.

I don't know that anyone was necessarily talking about turning Reigns in this instance, but more just about the fact that he's trying to force him to play a character that is never going to be widely over. Though I do think that him getting widely over without laundering his character through at least a temporary heel run is nearly impossible at this point, given what's behind the crowd reaction.

I agree that he's probably not ever fully turning heel until and unless they strike gold with an alternative mega-face.

Yeah, that thought wasn't made in reference to any particular conversation going on in the moment. I just posted because it was something I was thinking about.

The Alphas have to be thrilled at the efforts they're going to in order get Breezango over.

I mean, breezeango is hilarious. Don't even know if it's intentional or unintentional comedy but every time they're on screen I crack up.

No one had high expectations for Breezango, so they're delightdully overachieving the low bar set for them, while AA has shown zero personality & mediocre matches.

The point was that AA never even got back stage interview time, never mind vignettes. They just showed up when it was time for a match.

I have no idea why smarks love Bray Wyatt and hate Roman Reigns, other than the fact that Bray looks like "one of them"

Bray is the real ultimate underdog whereas Roman gets handed everything? idk

I watched that opening match. Turned off when Samoa was choking out Bray. Utterly stupid. I just envision Finn against Seth later and Joe interferes in that as well. I have tapped out from WWE.
