My way is Austin/Rock at 17.

I've not seen the others you mentioned. Will seek them out today/tonight . Also, for some reason I feel this need to go on a binge watch of Mick Foley. Mick has quite the catalog of matches but I'm going to list them to see if anyone can recommend other matches:

Way too many matches to actually rewatch:
vs. Sting - WCW Power Hour (Submit or Surrender match)
vs. Sting - Beach Blast 92
w/Kevin Sullivan vs. Nasty Boys - some 94 ppv
w/Maxx Payne vs. Nasty Boys - some 94 ppv
vs. Taker - HiaC @ KotR 98
vs. HHH - Falls Count Anywhere on RAW in 97
vs. Austin - Over the Edge 98
vs. The Rock - RR 99
vs. HHH - RR 00
vs. HHH - NWO 00
vs. Orton - Backlash 04
vs. Edge - WM 22
w/Edge & Lita vs. Beulah/Dreamer/Sandman - ONS 06

edit: I forgot vs. HBK @ Mind Games in 96. jfc

That's an impressive catalog. I'd put all but one of those matches at ****1/2+. Any missing?

Texas Death Match with Vader.

I can't watch the I Quit match anymore, makes me sick to my stomach after seeing Beyond the Mat.

Definitely check out the Texas Death match with Vader at Halloween Havoc 93. One of the only bright spots in that entire god-forsaken year.

I've watched that 99 Rumble match exactly one time. I just can't. Watching Benoit fly into a chair headfirst that Jericho's holding at RR 01 is more tolerable to me.

I've also seen that Texas Death match only once. Hated it. I will watch that tonight. It's been years.

Vader had a great 93. White Castle of Fear match vs. Sting and then Starrcade vs. Flair. But yeah, mid-93 with "The Masters of the Powerbomb" is some of the worst writing/booking, ever. Having the world champ in a tag team for more than a few weeks is just awful. I don't know how long him and Sid teamed exactly but it was long enough. Also, Erik Watts was a thing in 1993 *puke*

Other matches I missed of Mick's and that you should seek out:

vs. Vader on Saturday Night from 4/17/93 and 4/24/93. Both are probably < 10 minutes and just brutal. The first is the one where Cactus ****ing tells Vader to break his nose for real for real street cred...I guess.

edit: match 1:40-3:25 have some of the sickest punches ever. His nose is clearly broken at 2:40. One of the punches around 2:10 did it.

edit 2: ugh blood is edited out of this WWE version. This match is actually pretty bloody.

edit 3: found another version of the match and in the first one I linked, Jesse Ventura's commentary is completely edited out.

edit 4: this version with Jesse's also rid of the blood. At 7:41 Vader shows Cactus's blood on his fist to the camera but now there's no blood on there. Sad!

His match vs The Rock at RR '99 is brutal when you know that he agreed to like 3 chair shots to the head and The Rock unloaded 10 on him. NWO '00 is one of my saddest moments, also makes me laugh thinking how real I though wrestling was as a 4th grader. Kayfabe was alive in my 10 year old heart.

Another great promo and I'm going to mention it because I pimped it years ago but now they're both in the WWE it's worth mentioning again.

So I watched the Cactus/Vader match last night and as soon as Tony said, "we're going to put a graphic up of the rules." I instantly remembered.

"Rule 2) There are no falls.
Rule 3) :30 rest between falls.
Rule 4) Falls count anywhere in the building."

Just the worst. Luckily the match was much better and I have the original airing on my PC. I'm just going to assume that the network version is different because I don't remember any blood in this match and it was pretty bloody. Just two guys slugging it out and beating the **** out of each other. It was pretty great. Thoroughly enjoyed. Until the ending. The ending is seriously one of the biggest cluster****s ever. Harley "tasering" Cactus in the quad when getting up? Nick Patrick was confused if it was over for a few seconds. Gary Michael Capettski had no idea how to announce that it was over or a winner: "Cactus Jack couldn't make the 10 count so the Texas Death match is over. *big inhale* Fans, your winner is Vader". So confusing.

Glad I watched the match though since it was so fun and that I went back to watch the two matches that brought them to this point.

I was browsing WWE.com a little bit ago and noticed something. AJ Styles is actually listed under Alumni and not as an active performer. I think that is a nice little attention to detail that WWE usually just overlooks

Anticipation of Shane beating him so badly he has to retire.

Storyline wise, didn't he get himself fired Tuesday? Maybe Wrestlemania match is for his job.

"I'm sorry officer, she told me to choke her. I only accidentally choked her to death.". Just getting caught up in the moment. Standard stuff.

Raw should "sign" him.

Well broke down and bought a couple of tickets for a house show on April 15. Should be a good time with my son; we'll see how it is. I'll try to remember to post a trip report.

I laughed. I'm going to be in with RAW as background noise for the pokers. Just interested to hear some chants though I'm sure I'll be disappointed.

IMO a house show is easily a safer bet to be a good time than going to Raw. Slightly lower upside I suppose, no OMG historic moment equity, but much more of a lock to be fun and worth the time since you don't have to deal with the many commercial breaks, etc.

This is especially true if going with children.

Is it a Raw or SD house show? One of them is much more likely to have the current champion of said brand.

and I'm out. I was reminded in the two segments so far why I no longer watch. Stephanie McMahon. Random matches that mean nothing and suck. Also, just *sigh* when Foley had to sit there and take that "you're fired". I just can't. Mick's from the ****ing AE. Imagine Mick in the AE just standing there for that. It would never happen. Not in a million ****ing years. She would have a sock down her throat. It just makes me think, "what if Austin was there instead". He'd have to ****ing take that ****. Steph would get the last word. There'd be no, "and that's the bottom line...". AE she'd be stunned and have beer all over her. **** WWE. no mas

Well, you see, they have to keep Stephanie's character strong because the whole plan is for her to beat Brock for the title at next year's WM and become the face of the company......or maybe that was Roman Reigns.

I'm so glad they turned Dana Brooke so Charlotte could squash her in 5 minutes and that be the end of her.

Kinda feel bad for her, she got herself into great shape and I think a well booked turned feud with Charlotte could have worked.

"He was marking out mannnnnnn" Jericho line was amazing. Great segment.

Prob be in and out between now and the main event, but I'm pretty curious how they book Reigns/Strowman.

Also,as if WWE going overboard with the nicknames for every single wrestler wasn't bad enough, they had to ruin Wrestlemania also.

THE ULTIMATE THRILL RIDE moniker is the nut low. I cringe every time they say it and it doesn't sound like its going away
