yeah, the nfl is a dumpster fire now. that game last night was the worst thing ive ever tried to watch. we've reached the point where we're not looking for good play, we're just hoping teams do enough stupid things that it's funny.

This might be the worst Heyman promo ever. They're all cheering Brock, but he's making believe they're calling for Goldberg?

And why the hell does WWE waste Brock appearances on him just standing there not doing anything?

Must be a Brock thing.

Promoting a Brock appearance and him just standing there like always has gone on a bit too much. It's obviously the ultimate in lazy booking. Have him beat up random people or have a squash match. Let him say something at least. It's like they think he's so impressive that just looking at him is enough for us to get excited.

Face Rollins is the worst and the marks suck for cheering for him and booing Reigns when the booking is exactly the same and his promos are just as bad. Last week it was sparkle crotch and this week he pins the champion and Jericho at the same time.

Jericho is pretty funny but there's not really anything else on RAW for me to care about right now.

There are reports that the Heyman promo was cut short because the crowd reaction wasn't what Vince and others wanted.

Apparently the point was for the crowd was to be chanting "Goldberg". The way it came across on TV was that only about a fourth of the crowd was complying, with the rest cheering for Brock. Then the "Goldberg sucks" chants came through loud and clear, and they pulled the plug.

LOL Vince at thinking the crowd would be Goldberg > Lesnar in the city where Brock won an NCAA wrestling title.

In the quest to manipulate the crowd reaction, Vince should probably consider the radical option of telling actual compelling stories that the crowd gets invested in.

That was my thought watching it is that the idea was that the fans would chant Goldberg and then Brock would get pissed off and they would say the fight was on. Instead they just stood there and then walked off. Should have piped the chants in if it literally ruins the segment if the crowd doesn't chant Goldberg. What an idiotic plan.

The plan was fine. They just picked literally the worst city in the world to try that in.

That same speech in Corpus Christi would have worked exactly how Vince wanted it.

You mean, instead of hoping Lesnar gets booed, they should have made do things that make you want to boo him?

As an aside, though, Miz did a great promo that got him heel heat in his hometown. He came in, talked about his home town Cavaliers winning the championship and got huge cheers. Then he said something like, "1.3 million people came to cheer the Cavaliers, and this is all I get? I've been repping Cleveland all my life, unlike that traitor Lebron James." Boom, he's back to being a heel.

Insulting the hometown is heel 101. Even if all Heyman did was say something to the effect of, "people like you are why Brock moved to Canada," he would've gotten booed.

I just don't see Brock getting booed in very many cities. Certain cities Goldberg will be more over, but Brock is pretty much loved by everyone regardless of if he's being booked as a heel or face.

I'm calling....
