I'm not entirely sure I even made it to 1999. I'm browsing through the PPVs and I remember I was still watching when Karl Malone and Dennis Rodman were in the main event of BATB '98, but I think my viewership started phasing out as that year went on. I may have jumped out a little earlier than WCW started to absolutely tank into oblivion, but I think WWF had taken a significant edge in quality by then anyway.

I think that at least for me WWF's awful low point in 1995 happened to hit at a time that didn't cause me to abandon the project just because I was young enough to roll with it. Otherwise I'm guessing I would have turned it off, because holy **** that was a bad year. I might even find some of it watchable now purely due to childhood nostalgia; that year, of all years, was the first time I was able to get my parents to start buying the PPVs for me.

I would watch RAW and the record the Nitro replay and watch after school with a buddy on Tuesdays. Nitro watching was done by mid 99 and possibly mid 98 though.

Just signed up for the trial so I could check out the NXT PPV tonight, anyone know the bandwidth requirements for this? My internet is kinda **** at my current location, 5Mbps.

Is anyone still having problems with the network? I can watch live and on demand stuff on either PS3 or iphone but nothing on Mac laptop in either safari or firefox. Updated adobe and still nothing. Slight chance my laptop is too old. Bought it in 2007. Any thoughts from smart people?

I can't get anything to work on my computer, but everything streams great on my phone and kindle. Doesn't make any sense to me.

Seems like we are all over the map here. Everything appears to be working fine for me on all devices. Last night I had a problem where it would freeze ever 5 seconds for a 5 count before resuming on my Kindle Fire, but it isn't the first time my Kindle has reacted that way to video so hard to put it on the company.

Now some fun stuff - Over the last few days I was finally able to crank out all of Battle Bowl. It was pretty cool, especially because I didn't know the results of any of the matches, including the final 16 man battle royal. Of the 16 guys that made it I thought 6 had a legit chance to win it. I was sort of confused when WCW Champion Vader won it because he was already the champion and all they won for this was a golden ring, but I guess it was done to make him look strong going into his PPV match with Ric Flair which was signed the day of the Battlebowl PPV.

Subsequently, I am a long time WWE/F fan but it's that Starcarde PPV I remember most from my childhood. Flair kissing his kids and wife good bye, the personal talks with Mene Gene in the limo. As I kid I truly believed he had no chance to win, so when he did I remember going crazy, and I think my dad even got a kick out of it.

Finally, and this has gone on way longer that I thought, but I've wondered if a Lethal Lottery type deal would work now (if there's been one since the early 90's in WCW I am not familiar with it). My con is that a lot of the matches were really sloppy, but I don't know if that was indicative of the time period and workers WCW had at the time or because of the obviousness of not working with each other much. I guess in modern times it would be just as big as clusterbuck as it was then, but I wouldn't mind seeing it once.

P.S. Is this going to also because the "WWE Network Viewing Thread" or should their be a separate thread for that?

I was thinking that a separate viewing thread would be cool. Kind of like separate signup threads and draft threads.

So i kept getting directed to "download the app" on my laptop, which has a touch screen, in google chrome (meaning i couldnt watch WWE network)

I found the solution here: https://productforums.google.com/for...U/s6BGOiltbO4J

Basically WWE hasn't coded their website properly yet for google chrome on touch devices. So if you're on a laptop with resolution > 1024pixels wide that has touch capabilities, you can't watch WWE network without making a few changes. I made the recommended changes and it works now. Basically had to disable touch capabilities in chrome.

Thought I'd share in case anyone else had that issue.

WWF's The Big Event, 1986. At the 19:00 mark, Haku is in a submission hold. The ref picks his arm up and drops it to the mat five ****ing times. Finally on the sixth drop he brings it back up, so the match continues. Seems legit.

my favorite selectively-applied rule is DQ'ing tag team members who break up pins. then you have other tag matches where it's basically a battle royal with no rules.

I'm quite curious as to whether Bret Hart and Kevin Nash get along these days. I'm just going to assume that there was a time when they didn't.

Pretty sure Bret just needs a job. He is a lot more engaged and personable than normal. These guys seem to be having fun.

And here's Tensai doing backstage interviews!

Great match. Nice booking too. I found myself really wanting Cesaro to win by the end just because I wasn't gonna buy Zayn overcoming THAT much of a beating.
