FYI, WWE snap emailed me the day after I cancelled my subscription offering me another free month

I wonder how they choose to offer free months if someone cancels, I had been a subscriber for over a year

I had that problem in the past, and unfortunately it took several annoying phone calls to them to get it cleared up.

Water bottle of death!

R Truth actually had a decent heel run there. I guess I'm somewhat fond of that story since it was the first one I followed since getting back into wrestling (right around when Macho Man passed away).

How was their customer service? Does the fact that it took several calls say it all?

Everybody that watched the match lost that night.

The finish

Spoiler:
Truth goes outside the ring, takes a kids Cena hat and cup of water, has a sip, gives it back to the kid and the kid throws the water back in his face. Cena grabs throws him back into the ring, AA, lol Cena wins.

Bad. I had that issue mentioned above, but my big problem came when I canceled an account, then decided to sign back up a few weeks later (under the same e-mail), and I got billed both on the day that I signed up and then again six days later.

First I e-mailed them and said "hey yo, you double-billed me."
They responded, "No we didn't. That's just a temporary authorization."
Me: "No srsly, I know what temporary authorizations are, this one has been registered as a permanent transaction on my bank account."
Them: "Well we show no record of having billed you on both of these dates."
Me: "Here's a screenshot of my bank account."
Them: "That's because you signed up for two accounts."
Me: "Err, I canceled one. I have the cancellation here. You're saying that when I sign on this e-mail address, it shows me signing in on two accounts?"

Getting no answer, I called them up to try to hash it out. The support reps were nice, but clueless, and I couldn't get them to understand. I decided that I had already surpassed the amount of work I should be doing to try to recover $10, and I just gave up.

Then the next month came up and I got billed twice six days apart again. I had to resume the war because I couldn't just let myself get double-billed for the rest of eternity. After several more e-mails and calls, I also tried getting in touch with Paypal, since that's what I had paying my subscription.

Me to Paypal: "Hey, WWE double-billed me. I have a legit subscription with them and I want to keep it, but as you can see they tapped into my account twice."
Paypal: "Well according to our research, you actually have a subscription with them, so we can't help you get a refund. However, we have canceled your subscription with them so that you won't be billed further."
Me: "WAT. That's...I said up front that I had a subscription and that I wanted to keep it, and the problem was double-billing. You can see that I was billed on each of these days, right? The subscription is only $10."
Paypal: "¯\_(ツ)_/¯"

The "we canceled your account" thing was especially tilting because I legit thought I had been set up to potentially start getting triple-billed or something. However, it didn't seem like they actually succeeded in canceling anything, so that comment was meaningless.

I eventually gave up on Paypal as a possible solution and had to keep hammering WWE so that I wouldn't just end up paying an extra $120 a year for absolutely nothing. I don't exactly remember how I got it resolved, but it eventually did. But my experience with the support of both of these companies was egregious. I don't pay my subscription by Paypal anymore.

Just received an e-mail from WWE network titled: "WrestleMania ushers in The Roman Empire"

Almost enough to make me cancel on that alone.

been watching the early Rumbles...it's insane the amount of stars the WWE had. I"m on 1990 and just about every entrant is getting HUGE pops from the crowd. Like, they are legit losing their minds at every superstar. It's fun to watch.

TOday's WWE doesn't hold a candle to it in that regard. Yea, the technical wrestling and overall skill is light years ahead today; but man you only get those pops today with "surprise' entrants from yesteryear. Very few get those crazy pops nowadays

That's because back then the top talents didn't fight each other on TV for 5+ hours every week. You got an hour or two of everyone beating enhancement talent (jobbers). You never even saw Hacksaw Duggan get pinned. Guys only lost clean on PPVs and even then not always. That's why everyone seemed to be a star.

Part of the crowd reactions was that back then we didn't see every name wrestler every week (or even every other week), and they still had lots of jobber matches. So watching WWF meant watching a lot of John Doe versus Tito Santana.

So having all the stars, and only the stars, all together was huge.

Not only that, but your top, top guys(Hogan, IC champ, tag champs' etc.) Very rarely wrestled on TV. They cut promos, but the rare times you saw them wrestle on TV, it was either the SNME, or it was a televised house show match on Prime Time Wrestling. And before those shows, the only way to watch them was going to the house shows.

Before he got hurt, Seth Rollins was in a match every week on RAW and sometimes in multiple matches. There is no way that is sustainable over time.

Because of the tv money that formula will unfortunately never happen again.

That exact formula can never happen again, but I think there is something in between that and what we have now that can work.
