When it comes to non-finishers, it's more of a "know it when you see it" thing. I don't know that I can offer a satisfying definition, but it's based on some combination of (1) how high-impact the move looks/seems; and (2) the level of devastation credibility the move has been given in kayfabe.

You say it wasn't built as anything but they at least mentioned that it was a signature move of Kenta Kobashi which was something. If anyone has watched Kobashi, they know that it isn't just a signature move of his, it's his end move. It wasn't even his finisher, it was a move he broke out when his finisher didn't beat his opponent and got desperate enough to use it. He used it a total of 7 times in his career and each time it ended the match.

This was my thought as well. I was going to use a quote from a politician whose name I can't remember right now. There were having a hearing on the pornography industry and when he was asked what constitutes pornography, he replied: "I can't define it, but I know it when I see it"

I'm going to estimate that at least 70% of the audience for that match had never heard of or at least had never seen a Kobashi match before he was mentioned the other night. Let alone knows of the history of that move.

Whomever said the burning hammer was never on tv. It used to be Tyler Reks finisher

Except Tyler Rek's finisher was actually an argentine facebuster that they called a Burning Hammer

That's from a SCOTUS opinion, though I think it's from the attempt to define obscenity.

Just a warning in case you're an idiot like me. I went to the wiki to see the schedule and it spoils next weeks episode.

Thoughts:

ZSJ was much better in the last 2 matches than the borefest that was his first round match, but I still think he's pretty overrated and his selling is superlol.

Noam Dar ****ing sucks.

Legitimately shocked at the result in the Swan/TJP match, Swan is awesome and really carried the match with his charisma and his selling abilities. That match happening directly after Zach Cena Jr shrugging off a match worth of damage targeting the knee is pretty funny.

I thought I saw somewhere that the final will be live. I figured they will show the semis next week then have the live final the following week

Call me crazy, but I actually liked Noam Dar that match. Thought he did a great job. Sold much better than ZSJ.

Completely agree with your other two points.

I guess I'm on team Gran Metalik now.
