It's insane how much talent they had on the roster at one point and they just didn't know how to market them.

What's funny, too, is that TNA (despite itself) remains the clear #2 brand in wrestling given its national TV deal. Though compared to WWE it's not so much Coke vs. Pepsi but Coke vs. RC.

lol yeah I know I'm just messing around :P There's no doubt NXT is repsonsible for the CWC, it proved there was decent audience.

Really hoping they use the old Nitro model and just fill Raw with great cruiser weight matches until the main event each week.

I'd put ROH well ahead of them just out of U.S. promotions. ROH can draw around 1,000 paying customers in most major U.S. cities at least once a year, and TNA doesn't even really tour anymore because nobody will pay to see it.

Might be #2 in the states, but they are certainly not the #2 promotion in the world. NJPW has reported last week that they made around $30 million in revenue from August 2015 - July 2016. I don't see TNA come anywhere close to that. Heck, I don't see TNA making the same amount of revenue as the big Mexican promotions like AAA and CMLL and they have their fair shares of financial problems, especially AAA.

Just now getting to watch the semi's. Even knowing the results, such great matches so far. Making someone care when they don't know much about either is quite the accomplishment in my opinion.

Man after thinking about this more and more this is really honestly perfect booking.

When you look at TJP's abilities he really should be a bigger deal. This guy can work Technical/strong style/lucha matches and despite being only 32 is somehow a 18 year veteran. He seems able to work as both a heel or a face and just seems really undervalued. By making him by giving him this massive push right out of the gate, the top guy immediately is the guy who will be able to fill any role they need and leaves their booking options as open as possible.

Triple H is a genius at building things and it shows at any opportunity he gets. When he becomes the top guy the WWE will be the best its been in forever.

Cool to see Bayley's kid fan girl person sitting next to her for the show.

Finally watched the finale. Good stuff. Really enjoyed Kota/TJ and TJ/Gran. Would say Kota/TJ was the best of the 3 matches. There are some things I didn't and don't like about the presentation of the tournament but I'll try to be positive by not outlining those little things.

Jesus TJ's chest at the end of the match is brutal. Think Metalik was pissed that TJ didn't catch him on that dive and just beat the **** out of him on those chops for it.

TJP's finisher is horrible. How is that knee lock a finisher

Yeah, the false finishes for it were awful. Once he actually puts the leg under his arm, then it looks painful.

He actually never pulled out his finisher he uses on the indies which is a 540 DDT

How in the **** do you do a 540 ddt?
