I never realized that Barry wrestled in WCW.

SummerSlam: 778 posts
Backlash: 222 posts
CoC: 78 posts

At this rate, there will be a handful of posts for the Rumble.

Eh Smackdown is by far the superior show because of how much better the undercard is.

Also 1. AJ Styles is the goat.

All the matches themselves were good to very good but with the builds, or lack thereof it was really hard to be invested in any

im a huge rollins mark but that one didnt do it for me. its a shame they didnt just let him return as a face when everyone was going nuts for him. the current iteration is a bit flat and inbetween (not in a good way).

announcing was much better than usual imo. those 3 are starting to gel.

rusev/reigns was good
cesaro/sheamus was good until the wtf ending. i definitely dont need that feud to continue
new day was whatever, im also over the club now
cruiserweights were solid
womens match was fine but was missing something to really put it over

overall show was mediocre

The NFL is back. I probably won't watch another PPV until that concludes.

Was gonna queue this up. Figured I'd check here first and see what the reaction was. Sounds like I'm not missing anything if I skip it.

I just put this on in the background for some reason while I work. New Day have become painfully hard for me to watch.

"This is awesome" chant during Cesaro and Sheamus.... I think I'm completely out of touch with today's wrestling fans.

edit: LOL the finish

There's a very real chance that a crowd today might chant this while not really enjoying a match.

He wrestled Kane on PPV once. I can't remember which show it was but I remember it was for Corporate Kane's job. He also had 2 terrible matches against Sting and Lesnar. I haven't watched the main yet but if it's worse than those 3 then they ****ed up.

Yeah very true. On a serious note though, I do think today's wrestling fan has changed a lot in the past 10 years. It's easy to forget that the WWE has had no competition in the US for 15 years now.

Yeah, it's this. I started tuning in, and then thought "wait, I don't really care and I'm tired. I'm going to bed."

I'm guessing that the reward for Cesaro and Sheamus drawing their series will be a title match against New Day tonight. Hope they win.

Not that I'll be watching considering the presidential debate tonight. Ratings are going to be TERRIBLE.

I'm guessing this is the reason we didn't see HHH either. I don't see anyway they could have him interfere again and then not explain himself on RAW. And we know HHH won't be on RAW if the ratings are going to be in the crapper

I watched the main event and yeah it wasn't great but I don't think it's worse than the 3 Rollins matches I mentioned above.

My interest is about as low as it's been since I started watching again in 2011. The product isn't as bad as it's been as some points in the last couple years but I'm just gradually getting worn down by all the ******ed booking, worthless titles, etc.
WWE CLASH(night?) OF (the?) CHAMPIONS Quote

Even worse than that for me is the oversaturation of the product. 3 hour Raws...19 PPVs a year...plus an NXT special every 2 months or so...

****ing stop it. There exists too much of a good thing. And lately, the "thing" hasn't even been "good".

I haven't even watched the main event match, because I know the main event scene on Raw revolves around Steph and HHH in the end. I just don't care who is better at pleasing and imitating those two.

I'm interested in who is the best wrestler or the worst cheater. I'm not interested in who gets to be HHH's top lackey.

Brock and Orton had a rematch in Chicago it seems
WWE CLASH(night?) OF (the?) CHAMPIONS Quote

The report I heard said Orton was allowed to legally use weapons and still lost clean, so I'm sure we really missed out. Looking it up, it looks like it was no DQ, but not sure if Lesnar ever bothered to use weapons.

OMG, **** off with these rematches. It's bad enough when the champion loses the belt and gets an automatic rematch. But the challenger losing and getting a rematch? FFS.

it really is unbelievable how little thought and effort goes into the booking of these shows.

and they wonder why ratings are plummeting...why would i tune in to see new day vs. the club when i've seen it 20x already (including those 3 times it 'actually counts this time' on PPVS)
