Is there a valid reason why Jinder is champ? Are they going on a tour of the Middle East or something?

Can you believe the belt went from Bray (lol) to Snek (lol) to Jinder (lol)?

I mean I'm all for giving the new guys a chance, but this is weird.

Seeing Orton pinned almost clean by a jobber for the title was awesome to watch. Watching the butthurt around the internet over the result is the icing on the cake.

I like that part of why this Jinder thing is just crazy enough to work is that they know fans are going to hate him and boo him for being pushed without "deserving" it. People are getting worked pretty hard imo.

This is so funny but so smart.

What do you do when you've tried to give the long-term never quite there main eventer his spot and it fails, and then you move to your 'safe' option and it fails even harder.

STRAP JINDER ****ING MAHAL IS WHAT

Wow, just watched this. Legit marked out lol, have enjoyed Jinder during this push. Almost checked results when I woke up this morning, glad I didn't, that was the biggest shock since Brock ending the streak.

Goldberg beating Brock in 90 seconds was probably a bigger shock.

I don't care how good Jinder has looked during this push. From a kayfabe perspective I just cannot accept taking someone who has been a complete jobber for five years, giving him a one month push and being given the WWE championship. Wins and losses and championships have to mean something. If Jobber Mahal can be made WWE champion in a single month of booking, then literally anyone on the roster could be WWE champion in a month, and once that precedent is set, everything that happens on any show is completely meaningless.

AJ opens the year as champ, loses to Cena just so he could claim Flair's record, who immediately loses it to Bray after Orton wins RR to set up epic payoff to their angle and massive feud that lasts...two matches and end of the second one was marred by outside interference. Maybe Jinder will be the first SD champ to successfully defend in 5 PPVs.

I'm afraid I've got some bad news...

And besides, crazy things happen in real life too. Leicester City won the premier league. Donald Trump is president of the United States. It would be boring if they always went the same route in building the guy up until it's obvious that he's gonna win the title.

I do dislike that there's already been 4 WWE title changes this year and ideally AJ Styles would still be champ but Jinder appears to have worked really hard and has been entertaining imo, I think he's a more deserving champ than Bray Wyatt was.

I'll take "Examples in Favor of Being Boring" for $200.

Yeah, would think WWE is aiming a little higher. They're likely hoping their champ is taken more seriously than the Trump presidency.
