An upside is that Brock might actually kill HHH in a non-kayfabe way.

Does it mean in a way that HHH is not going to wrestle a match anymore, ala the way Edge went out?

Presumably HHH's promo would come after Big Johnny gets fired tonight and they are using it to springboard immediately into the story with Beeg Slow and Ace then appearing and beating the crap out of him, Cena returns to super Cena it up then Brock comes out and clears the ring to end the show with Big Brock Ace stood in the ring.

Then on Raw HHH tries to fire Ace when Heyman comes out saying he has been hired by the board of directors to say Ace is immune from being fired as they love the amount of twitter trending he created last night and we may finally get that Corporation 2.0 we have been hoping to have for a year.

I'm still waiting for IRM's guarantee of an nWo revival to come through.

That angle doesn't sound bad at all. Lesnar/HHH is going to be an awesome match, and I like Vince being on TV so anything that allows him to be on TV more is a good thing IMO.

Cesaro got his first loss. Walking out in a match against Sin Cara on superstars

WTF is their hard on for heels walking out on matches? That is something like the 5th time in three days.

The walk-out should rarely happen, and should only happen if it's a heel saving their belt (or somehow saving something else they could lose by getting pinned).

I liked the explanation for Sandow's early walk-outs, but yeah most of them seem like terrible, lazy writing.

Sandow walked out before the match. Was hoping Cesaro would get like the US title before getting a loss

Here's what could be the plans for SummerSlam for Cena.

Quote:
-WWE is currently planning to have John Cena face CM Punk for the WWE Championship at Summerslam on August 19. The plan is to build the show around Punk/Cena and Brock Lesnar/Triple H.

WWE decided to go with Cena and Punk for the second year in a row because they do not want their biggest draw to be in the fourth most important match, meaning Lesnar/HHH, two world title matches and then the Cena match.

Since Summerslam is one of the biggest PPVs of the year in the major television market of Los Angeles, California, WWE wants Cena in a title match and on top of the card.

I'm all for Cena/Punk since I know that this is one of the few match pairings in the WWE that cannot go wrong. The thing is though what could they do differently that they did not do back in the Summer of 2011?

I'm okay with that onyl because they're trying to acknowledge that the WWE Championship is more important than the John Cena Championship, even if they haven't shown it. . . ever.

+1 that Bryan (c) vs Cena is much more compelling. Not that I disliked Punk vs Cena but lol if they think they can replicate last year so why even try imo. Esp face vs (sort of) face.

I disagree, the possibility of Punk/Cena has me more excited then just about any potential match in WWE. The two literally can't have a bad match together. Everyone remembers SummerSlam and MITB, but watch the series of matches they had on Raw leading up to WM 27, they all were awesome. Plus I'm really happy to see that they are giving Cena someone good to work with. Cena is always awesome on the mic when he has some good going against him, like Rock, Brock, or Punk. Plus this means the WWE Championship will be back in the main event of the 2nd biggest PPV of the year, and if Punk loses, though unlikely, he could turn heel. Even if he doesn't we all agree that his best stuff as a face has been against Cena. I'm really pumped for the idea of this fued, should be amazing.

All of those points you brought up would still apply to Bryan. He can't have a bad match with anyone and is the best heel/most entertaining wrestler in the world atm. Best heel vs biggest babyface is always a money fued. A Cena/Punk match won't even be a fued, it will just be Punk and Cena smiling at each other and telling bad face jokes every Raw up until the match because apparently they're best buddies now. Yeah the match would be good but it's something we've seen plenty of times before. If Punk was a heel it would be a different story but he's been mega stale for a while now apart from his segments with AJ. Bryan/Cena would be fresh and could be a really good fued if done well. The only problem with it is that it's obvious to everyone that Cena will never tap out. I agree that Punk/Cena isn't a bad thing but personally I'd be looking forward to Bryan/Cena much more.

I may be giving WWE too much credit but I think the fued is very obvious and neither Punk nor Cena needs to turn heel. What is the thing that Punk did that made him a superstar? The shoot. As Punk has became, even though he has held the title for so long, he isn't the number 1 guy in the company. Punk needs to have another shoot and say that for him to be the number one guy he needs to beat Cena. That's an awesome fued IMO.

are we in some kind of ironic stage where people write fued even though they know it is spelled feud?

That's one way I didn't look at it and could be interesting. If he did a shoot on Cena and didn't hold back then yeah it could be really good. I just don't have faith in the WWE now that he's in super baby face mode. He needs to be in Stone Cold CM Punk mode for him to be interesting as a face for me.

Bryan is hot hot hot right now and Cena in kayfabe (and im pretty sure behind the scenes in shoot) is directly responsible for bringing him back.

The feud is there and it is natural and logical - Bryan is the egotistical jerk, Cena is the man of the people, Bryan is the nerd who spent years honing his craft, Cena is the jock who has had everything handed to him on a silver platter, promos about how Bryan changed, promos about how Cena was just in the right place at the right time, #GOATface

Bryan is at least as good as Punk and has a very long record of putting on awesome matches with just about everyone ever - the argument that "Punk and Cena have a record of having great matches" just misses how damn good Bryan is - and his character and momentum is so much better than Punk's right now.

We havent seen it before. Cena and Bryan have never been in a match other than the same team in Survivor Series a couple years back against Nexus. (edit, maybe a random holonaminitplaya tag match too)

Cena vs Punk has no natural story. Good guys dont go after good guys in the WWE and neither of them have put on a decent let alone edgy promo in months - so what is the selling point here, one year on and lets see if they can replicate one of the biggest matches in WWE history with a substandard crowd and no compelling story, why are people tuning in rather than downloading MITB last year?

Even Summerslam 2011 couldnt replicate MITB 2011. No way Summerslam 2012 will.

I mean ****ting on Punk vs Cena is dumb, im sure their match will be very good at worst. But Bryan vs Cena has a much higher potential if for no other reason than not needing a convoluted reason why they are feuding - Bryan goes over Punk then cuts a promo about how he can get anyone to tap then time is now hits with Cena walking out and it just writes itself from then onwards. You just need a reasonable ending for the match booked ahead of time how Cena can resist all the submissions but then loses due to the ref not seeing a weapons shot for example.

They can't feud Cena and Bryan because too many people would cheer for Bryan.
