Shane McMahon was apparently involved in a helicopter crash. Seems to be okay. Probably one of the lighter bumps he's taken.

Also may be more Paige leaks.

Bad news. Johnny Mundo signed with GFW. Big shame.

I just saw that Brock isn't expected to resign with WWE after WrestleMania

This has been out there since before WM 32

Odd that he's doing UFC in November instead of either December (UFC's biggest event) or after Mania 34. I really don't want to see him back in the cage. Didn't think his fight vs. Hunt was a very good showing. Just retire on that win no contest.

McGregor has said that he'll fight in December so they probably don't want to use both of them on the same card seeing as they'll both draw massive numbers on their own.

That makes a lot of sense. I don't pay much attention to UFC outside of watching events so thanks for that.

News stories I have read today make it seem Lesnar may still be under a 1-year suspension (that froze when he retired) come November.

Serious question: does he sign a UFC form that says "retired" after the Hunt fight? I imagine not so how do they declare the date he retired and the date that he declares that he's training for another fight?

When you retire you don't have to take drug tests anymore. So yes, you do formally file retirement papers to get out of doing the drug tests. He has 5 months left on his suspension

5 months on the suspension, and 6 months of being in the testing pool for the USADA. I wonder if they can be served concurrently?

According to both PWInsider.com and The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there has been talk of WWE doing another Superstar Shakeup after SummerSlam next month. The first roster shakeup took place after WrestleMania 33.

While it might seem early for the company to do another shakeup so soon after WrestleMania, The Observer is reporting there is definite talk to make some roster changes in the fall. That talk has included the possibility of sending one or more current main roster talents to WWE NXT, a move that has not been done before.

As for who might move, it could be talents who were previously big stars in NXT that Vince McMahon will not push on Raw or Smackdown, despite how over they might be with the live crowd. The move might also be talents who did not get their start in NXT, but are doing nothing on the main roster, so they might be more valuable as top stars in NXT.
I know it's early but everything outside of Braun/Brock/Samoans is boring right now so I'm ok with it.

Who goes to NXT?

Meltzer now reporting that the finish to Owens/Styles was changed during the match. The ref's count was hesitant because Owens and Styles were ad libbing the finish and the ref wasn't sure if it was the actual finish.

Some are speculating the Jericho only became available for Smackdown late, which is why they changed the finish mid-match.

How would KO & AJ know Jericho was available mid-match and are they really allowed to change finishes?

The referee has an earpiece that allows him to receive messages from the back during the match.

It only sounded like the ref didn't know that was the finish they came up with on the fly

As noted, several WWE Raw stars, including Braun Strowman, met up with some GFW talents at a Nashville bar following Raw on July 17th.

According to The Wrestling Observer, Karen Jarrett approached Strowman at one point in the bar, and told him that he is one of her son’s favorite wrestlers, and then asked the big man for an autograph for him. Strowman apparently didn’t know who Jarrett was and was reportedly rude to her and might have even cursed at her. This lead to Karen Jarrett blowing up on Strowman, and she reportedly “cut a major loud promo” on Strowman for blowing her off.

After the incident, Jarrett reportedly told Strowman that she was going to tell her son’s father, WWE Raw GM Kurt Angle, what happened. Strowman then begged Jarrett not to tell Angle or anyone else what happened, and obliged to give the autograph. When Jarrett insisted she would still tell Angle, Strowman said he would get down on his knees and beg her if she didn’t tell.

This lead to Strowman actually getting down on his knees in front of several WWE stars and begging Jarrett for forgiveness. Jarrett told him he was only doing this now because he doesn’t want Kurt Angle to find out, and Strowman finally apologized and agreed with Jarrett.

Don't get why Bobby Rude is in NXT. He is a better heel than anyone on the WWE roster

Jon Jones calls out Brock Lesnar after his UFC fight last night.

This is an incredibly intriguing match-up if it happens. I think Jones would destroy Brock but there's something in the back of my mind that says the size advantage and being just as quick as (if not quicker than) Jones can compete with him, especially on the ground. This match would almost certainly smash UFC buy rate records as well.
