Poor AJ. He's so good that WWE gives him the part timers as a "reward".

I mean you say that as a joke, but that really is how they treat the guys who are red hot. At least they didnt have Kevin Nash try to make it fun again.

But, but he's on the big stage now and making a lot of money than he would in ROH/NJPW and that's all that matters, right? Right?

Don't tell me that we shouldn't expect something like this sort of booking to fall in AJ Styles' direction in an WWE environment, the moment he signed with the company.

I suspect at his age, the answer would actually be yes.

^^ Oh yeah, in AJ's perspective, this would be true. He's got a wife and kids to support and if he has the chance to make big money to provide financial support, doing what he does best, and actually spend time with his family, he should definitely take it.

I'm just saying I hate this perspective from certain fans of how they want every friken top worker not signed to WWE to sign with WWE in hopes that WWE's booking/writing gets better and their negative tendencies to go away when it's just not going to be case.

Yeah it's hard to feel bad for AJ, he's been featured basically from day 1 with his debut at 2016 Royal Rumble, tonnes of great matches, many PPV main events.

I mean yeah AJ vs Cena as the main event of WM would be awesome but it's not like Cena is in a big match this year either ....

It is kind of weird though that AJ & Cena are taking such a backseat for this event .... this is part timers + RAW heavy, all the Smackdown stuff is kinda in the periphery

The sad thing is that the WWE doesn't think AJ and Cena are in lesser roles this years. There is no doubt that they think a match against Shane for AJ is a reward for good performance, and Cena is the headliner in what they think is the biggest crossover storyline of the year

I feel like its basically they think they are rewarding AJ and Miz, but they also dont fully trust them on their own

According to a report from PWInsider.com, the health of The Undertaker was a big topic of discussion behind the scenes earlier this week during Monday Night Raw. He was said to have been in a lot of pain just walking around backstage, and the general consensus backstage is that his match with Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 33 will most likely have to be Undertaker's last match.

There have been rumors for many years now that any given WrestleMania could be Undertaker's last, and there were numerous reports coming out of last year's WrestleMania that Undertaker was even telling people openly that he was finished as an in-ring performer after his Hell in a Cell Match against Shane McMahon. But it would appear as though this year's WrestleMania will actually be The Undertaker's final performance, as even WWE officials are under the impression that the legendary "Dead Man" will probably no longer be able to perform after WrestleMania 33.

He is also said to be in need of major surgeries that would prevent him from ever performing in the ring again. With the amount of pain that he was in backstage during Raw, it would seem as though he can't go for much longer without having those procedures done.

It's official that the WWE doesn't know the definition of the word "anniversary," or they're bad at math.

Please don't get me started on that. It is so life tilting that Mania XXV is called the 25th Anniversary of Wrestlemania

WWE has a long and storied tradition of not knowing how to count when it comes to their events.

I mentioned in my review of WM25 that it's actually the 25th anniversary of this house show:

Quote:
WWF @ Lancaster, PA - April 5, 1984
Charlie Fulton defeated Jose Luis Rivera
Jose Gonzalez defeated Rene Goulet
WWF Tag Team Champions Rocky Johnson & Tony Atlas defeated Roddy Piper & David Schultz via disqualification
WWF IC Champion Tito Santana fought Paul Orndorff to a double disqualification
SD Jones defeated Israel Matia

Pretty much, this short commercial video sums up a fair amount of stuff.

Still, go ahead and find and watch The Final Deletion in full. Not just the backyard forest nighttime match, but the pre-match segments that really highlights Broken Matt Hardy as a character.

Anyone else smell a last minute replacement for Shane? AJ-Kurt Angle would be fantastic.

Matt Hardy lost a match and went insane. He started talking with a weird affect and hearing messages from The Seven Deities. He is still the same garbage wrestler, but now he has a few catchphrases that got massively over.

The dirt sheets are reporting that the Hardyz to WWE is basically a done deal and we can expect that at any time.

30th anniversary of WrestleMania III was yesterday. The Detroit News put out a really cool oral history of the event.
