Based on the reading of a passage in one of Jericho's books on TLF (Slamboree 98 ep), the bookers had no input on the cruiserweights beyond booking the matches and who would feud with who. In a hilarious quote, Jericho says, "If I'd been doing the same things* in the WWF, Vince would've fired me on the spot". The people in charge only cared about the main event picture and tbf, that's what's reported for Vince as well since at least the mid-80's. Those in charge may not have even watched this segment to know what it was to use later.

*he was talking about the way he himself set up feuds, particularly with Chavo and leading into Dean

I'm convinced there needs to be a President Trump like character on WWE TV, whether it's a delusional authority figure or wrestler who tells us he's going to make WWE great again and then actually does think it is better just because he is there.

I don't watch TNA, but those who do might be in for a treat.

The ref for a TNA tag team title match that will air tonight is apparently under contract with Lucha Underground. LU is not allowing him to be shown working for TNA. But TNA wants to show the match.

So it looks like TNA will be blurring the ref out of the entire match.

Oh yeah and Sandow is confirmed terrible. WWE knew better than most with that one.
