The feud was pretty decent back in the early 2000s, but I have zero interest in that match in 2017.

Even amongst opponents Kurt has faced before, HHH ranks pretty low on my interest level.

Doesn't that pretty much sum up every HHH feud in the 2010s with the exception of Daniel Bryan? It's like they manage to bring all these kinds of wrestlers and somehow the writing always think that particular wrestler should be in a feud with HHH, even though it's on the low-level of dream matches nowadays.

I'm not super psyched to see HHH on my screen either but to be fair his work has been very very good over the last couple years. His promos during his last run were fantastic. And he hasn't buried anyone in ages

Given the narrative, you would think that Leaf went before Manning or was a worthless #1 pick like JaMarcus Russell instead of a worthless #2 pick. Somehow he still gets referenced 20 years later.

There was a real debate between Manning and Leaf. The only other comparable situation is Greg Oden over Kevin Durant. Possibly Darko over Melo, but that's a #2 over a #3.

Well, Sam Bowie over Michael Jordan was a thing, but that also was a #2 vs. #3.

The fact that some debated Manning/Leaf doesn't seem particularly meaningful since there never seemed to be any question where the Colts were going with the pick. The eliteness of Manning doesn't somehow make Leaf more of a bust anyway, even though that's obviously part of why people are so married to the narrative. That, and Leaf was a huge *******, which also doesn't make him any more of a bust but it went a long way toward making people fall in love with making him the go-to bust reference.

Anyway, I'll back away from the derail now.

Oden over Durant was more recent, but that was more a case of injuries--Leaf was a bust because of lack of talent, not injuries. Jamarcus Russel was a bigger bust, but there were no other top talents in that QB class (Kevin Kolb probably had the best career of that QB class. Who is he? That's my point.)

I was a little too young at the time to comment on Jordan/Bowie, but The Oden/Durant disaster was the most obvious draft mistake in my lifetime. Sure there have been other #1 overall busts in all of the sports, but Odin was the worst. Anyone with half a brain could watch Oden just walk around could tell his knees were already shot and he had zero chance in the NBA. Unfortunately for Portland they were almost forced to take him because of the group think about big men among all front offices in the NBA. Had Oden defied the odds and became a great player the Portland GM would probably have never worked again in the NBA

According to Meltzer, Braun vs Lesnar has been axed at summerslam so they can do Reigns and Lesnar instead. Which is good if true, cause we wouldn't want to reward people for getting themselves over naturally.
