Re: Wrestling DVDs/Documentaries/Books/Cassette Tapes Thread
I think most people here would like Jimmy Cornette write a book. As for me, I just want to know what was in his mind during that Dairy Queen incident.
Also, huzah!!!!

- As previously reported, Chris Jericho has announced that his third autobiography will be published late next year. Jericho's books are published outside of WWE, which gives him greater leeway to be more forthright and in-depth with the various aspects of the company.

This should be the best book of his series since so many interesting things has happened in and out of the ring during the span of late 2007-late 2010.

Re: Wrestling DVDs/Documentaries/Books/Cassette Tapes Thread
google pro wrestling torrent > first result > sign up > search jim cornette and there's like > 10 hrs of shoots with him. From him breaking his leg in the scaffold match to going over every booking note he had when booking wwe in 96/97 to having hours of conversation with bobby heenan. it's great stuff.
i'd recommend listening to his booking shoot first.

Re: Wrestling DVDs/Documentaries/Books/Cassette Tapes Thread
Watching "Tombstone: History Of The Undertaker" on Netflix ATM, Just finished the In Your House 1997 event, man what a ****ing real life save by Taker in that one.
You can clearly see the finish was supposed to be Foley attempts to burn Taker with Flash paper, Taker blocks with Bearer, Bearr gets burned" but the lighter wouldn't light.
You see Taker kicking the crap out of Bearer while Foley staggers around with this lighter close to his chest trying to light it. Finally Taker walks over, kicks Foley, steals the lighter during the kick, now he's trying to get it to light while kicking Bearer, who's in the corner.
Then he lights it, Bearer gets this "Oh ****" look, sells really well, Taker teases him with the lighter, popping the crowd, then does the "burn".
That really would've blown a pretty decent angle if the burn was never pulled off.

Re: Wrestling DVDs/Documentaries/Books/Cassette Tapes Thread
I hope the Punk documentary and the non-wrestling contents is going to be at least on par with the Edge documentary earlier this year. As for the matches, well, they look to be solid, though I wished for some ROH stuff, ala like the Benoit dvd where they had New Japan stuff, but disk three will make the DVD a freeroll anyway.

I'm not much of a Punk fan, but that set has some great matches. I might have to pick it up.

Here's the cover art for the Punk DVD, looks nice and it fits his character.

Re: Wrestling DVDs/Documentaries/Books/Cassette Tapes Thread
Reading Jericho's second book now, am a good bit into it.
*His constant use of the apparent slang term "froot" is awful and makes me want to punch babies.
*His parentheticals are not as clever or funny as he thinks they are.
*All of his Fozzy stuff is completely boring, and I'm just going to skip over anything further about them.
The rest is definitely still good and entertaining stuff though.
