How is it going to hinder good roster depth?

Most of these catergories are going to have 50-100 guys that are eligible for that position.

Im not saying you would have to take category a round 1. It would be a list of x amount of catergories. At the end you would have to place 1 guy in each slot for example.

If the categories are WWe champ AWA champ WCW champ NWA champ

You could have Flair Sting Hennig Cena. and slot them in to those slots

As an interesting wrinkle, how about a rule to limit the years you can draft from - like any 10 year period of your choice and you get that wrestler for those 10 years you choose.

It is a rule that creates forbidden workers for people when they make certain picks. Part of the fun/sweat of these drafts is having a guy you definitely want and having to anxiously fade the next three drafters or whatever. This type of rule takes some of that away since you might be able to know that some of the other drafters are blocked from ever sniping you.

I'm just not a fan of the idea personally, since I want the entire universe to be open to all drafters all the time.

By the way Judy, you should probably clarify if you even have spots open right now. You said in the OP you wanted to limit it to 5-7. You're obviously in, I'm in, teejay is in, Dylan is in, that's four. Iso and moorobot have asked in and are both good drafters and should be in, so that's six. Rorr wants in, that's seven. Phill as a strong maybe is eight. You should probably close this off (except for allowing IRM if he wants in since you penciled a spot in for him right away).

I tried to write up a post advocating picking tag teams as a unit, and then realized as I attempted to advocate it that it's next to logistically impossible to really deal with the issue of who is a draftable team and who isn't. Like Shawn Michaels and Steve Austin were tag champs for instance, and we wouldn't want someone to just be able to draft them as a package. I don't think drafting teams is something that would work.

Part of me thinks that we could just stick with the exact same rules as the last one since the drafting field is cut in half and we're going for far deeper rosters.
