It usually has a ppv per month. Their are hype shows that lead up to the event. For instance on 12/20 and 12/19 there were hype shows for WK and not a show until WK. Main event was the big three matches mixed in a 6-man match (Tana/Makabe/Ibushi vs Naka/Okada/Ishii on 12/20).
In January or February (this year in Jan on the 17-19th) there is FantisticoMania or something like that where NJPW hosts interpromotional matches with CMLL. In March there is the New Japan Cup tournament. It has 3 days that are usually broadcast and then a ppv final. In August there is the G-1 Climax tournament which last year had 13 (maybe 12) days and those were all broadcast on ppv for a bundle price of $150. In November and December there are Junior and Heavyweight tag tournaments with the Finals being on Decemeber's ppv for the Heavyweights. Don't think the Jr's get a ppv final.

I'm interested to hear how isolated feels it stacks up to previous events because I loved it.
I'll get to it but waiting for somebody to get here to watch the undercard matches. Already watched the final two
. Ibushi was a ****ing god out there. And that last match...wow. Totally atypical to the past Okada/Tanahashi matches. Mindblowing to me seeing them pull out **** I've not seen before that was so damn aggressive. I was completely deflated at the results of both matches despite my favorite wrestler winning, it shouldn't have been him.
