Good for Dean Ambrose for holding his own against Austin, who was doing his grumpy man act he does when advertised as "Stone Cold" on the WWE Network. I prefer the normal, chilled out Steve that we get on his own show.

I kinda got the vibe that Dean doesn't like Austin very much

Austin has mentioned many times on his own podcasts that talent, especially at the top, needs to take chances and not just let creative and office people push them around. Austin was trying to get Ambrose to do that. Austin has mostly stopped watching the weekly shows, and before that had a lot more critical things to say about contemporary WWE, and rightfully so.

I got the vibe that Dean has a lot of stories/knowledge that he just didn't want to talk about. It might be because of Austin but like bones said, Austin seems to put on a character when doing these WWE podcasts instead of just acting like himself and Dean seemed a bit over it.

But yeah, good on him for calling out Lesnar. Lesnar has more wrestling ability in his small toe than Dean has overall but I'll always respect work ethic more.

I've heard that Ambrose has talked about his past before on other shoots. I tried to listen to this podcast and his one with Jericho and ended up just skipping to the parts I heard were key because Ambrose put no effort into making either podcast interesting or insightful and just talked with that lazy stumbling voice. So I'm not going to go looking for those other shoots to find out.

Austin's podcast with Strowman was surprisingly interesting. I didn't catch the interview with Ambrose yet. Maybe Austin just plays a character when on WWE Network? Because he seemed genuinely interested in Strowman and they had a good conversation.

Bruce Prichard has a podcast now. I didn't think it would be that good but the first show was about Dusty's run as a wrestler in the WWF so I checked it out and it was surprisingly impressive. Kind of like Lapsed Fan, but shorter and by somebody who actually was a big time backstage person during the angles/themes he's going to be talking about. He even was doing some pretty good impressions of Dusty, Macho Man, etc. while telling stories.

Just as long as he doesn't do any Brother Love impressions.

Just started the Bruce Prichard podcast. Anybody have any other podcasts that are more comedy based like TLF?

Pissed that MitB isn't up yet . Was supposed to be up this morning. GIVE ME WHAT I NEED!

My god I ****ing hate the way they try to be cool by bashing the internet. "let's see if we can be the biggest heels on the internet", "you're going to be hated on the internet", "if it happened in Japan it's automatically better". If you hate the internet so much, don't post a podcast. It's like a smark on wrestling forums calling another person a "smark".

"Well Babe, I'll see you out there." and the "2nd most to..." stories are gold. I'll probably just skip the first 15 minutes of his show from now on though.

The takes on contemporary wrestling part was pointless in the 2nd podcast so skipping the first 15 minutes seems like a winning strategy.

Still referring to the Bruce Prichard Podcast?

Yeah, he was.

Two hours through the new TLF. Bleh. A funny bit here and there. But everything so far has been about Punk leaving until the AJ/Punk wedding. Really, really boring (I mistyped that 'borking' at first ).

Truly astounding to me that these guys with full-time jobs and families crank out these insanely long podcasts on an almost-weekly basis.

I've been listening on old casts for it but wtf does Jack do? JP brings up his profession all the time but Jack ???

Wow at JP not having seen this entire event before now. Easily a top five ppv ever, if not higher. It's amazing. The forum was great back then.

I don't actually remember what Jack does, which occurred to me as I made that last post, but then I just shrugged and posted since I'm almost sure he's mentioned some or other job, or at least has mentioned that it exists during one of his pitches for crowdfunding.

Oh yeah, just remembered. He's a journalist or reporter.

oh right. He reports for Sherdog.com. Thanks for jogging the memory.

Think the Sherdog job is another supplemental gig like Lapsed Fan is for him. According to this link, he's the chief investigative reporter for the Boston Herald as of a few months ago.

Yeah I called this earlier, he is advertised as "stone cold" whereas on his own shw, he's just Steve. he does seem to have more of an attitude on his own show unless he is with a friend.

Shame ol' Steve didn't have the balls to get cranky with Vince on episode 1 lol.

moorobot, I'm listening to the second episode of Prichard's podcast now and I have a question or two. If you remember or know, how over was HTM and Butch Reed when HTM won the title from Steamboat? I know Butch Reed was known from Mid-South and some great work there with Flair and others but how over was he to the national/NY audience?

Also, as a kid I knew Dibiase was a great wrestler and worker/talker and all that. But now, since I only really remember his work from 90 on which was when he turned into a joke. Would Ted have been a success as champion if they crowned him at WM IV? Furthermore, would Ted closing WM IV as champion have let a lot of air out of WM as a whole? Having a heel win a tournament at WM back then seems like a horrific idea.

edit: ha, that guy asked Prichard my last question literally 2 minutes after I posted that.

The hardest thing for me to imagine about DiBiase shipping that tourney is the fact that he didn't have music then. Would have been quite the closing moment.

Wow, that's a pretty no joke job. How the **** does he have time for that podcast?

"The Red Rooster gimmick failed because he didn't embrace it or do it to the best of his ability". *two minutes later* "He didn't walk like we wanted him to. *wait for it*..............We wanted him to walk like a rooster.".

Also: Prichard is going to have to be nicknamed No Ribs as he says Akeem, Dusty's gimmick, and Terry Taylor's gimmick were not ribs.
