That was one of the more just flat out mean things WWE did and I feel bad for her. For those that don't know here's some cliffs -

In 2007, Mickie left Kenny from the Spirit Squad and started seeing Cena(who was still married). Cena had a reputation of sleeping with all the divas at the time. In 2009 he called it off and Mickie had a public meltdown backstage and was moved from Raw to SD.

Almost as soon as she got to SD she was given the Piggy James angle which consisted of LayCool basically calling her a pig every week because of her weight. For reference, this is what Mickie James looked like in 2009 -

She lost the feud, got injured for a month, came back, lost a couple more matches and was fired.

You guys are killing it. Great work.

Feel like we could have done a whole draft just on 2000 WCW.

Great pick, came close to picking it a couple of times.

I'm up next? OK.

I don't want to write this one up, because if you've never seen it before or heard of it you don't want to be spoiled.

Setup: Hogan and Savage are in a tag team match against Kevin Sullivan and whatever Brutus Beefcake was calling himself that week. Brutus puts Hogan in a sleeper, and Hogan is unconscious.

Spoiler:

This is my Fingerpoke of Doom.

How have I never seen this before? That is incredible.

Only for purposes of this draft, I wish I were more familiar with the dying days of WCW.

That was 1994.

No one has ever seen the reviving elbow? Incredible.

My joke at the time was what presence of mind Savage had to remember the finish at WrestleMania V.

Just imagine if he was in there with Warrior instead. Reviving him would take a while.

Sorry for the lack of a writeup. I take Vince McMahon's Million Dollar Giveaway. The WWE was hurting for ratings, so Vince decided to giveaway money live on Raw. This ended up horribly because Vince didn't know how to use the technology, people didn't answer the phone, all and all it was just a mess. Ratings didn't increase, and the whole thing ended with the Raw set falling on Vince.

My next pick will be Russo and Bischoff "resetting" Nitro. This was another mess that buried the history of the titles, and included a bunch of inside shoots and terms that the general public didn't know.

Can someone update where we're at in the draft? whos on auto skip, whos up, etc

Mat is up for one pick.

teejayC, darO and Judy are on auto-skip, SRM has timed out. I think everyone else has made all the picks they're supposed to.

^ that. Of the four named, darO seems the only one who might return, but he's been gone for a while at this point.

That Piggie James crap has me really rooting for Mickie on this go-round... hoping she at least gets a title run. I feel sort of generally bad for every woman who was in the company prior to "the divas revolution."

Even in a draft full of WOAT angles, everything Russo does just seems a cut above (below?) everything else. The man was on another level.

How many rounds total are we going to go? I have a feeling that all of my top remaining picks are going to be available to me at whatever round I want, but I want to know the total size of my list.

Sting Goes to The White Castle of Fear

Spoiler:
This is another one with no write up. Just watch it. If you can.

The audio was difficult for me to hear. What the hell happened? Hogan was knocked out with the sleeper but didn't lose? Sounds like par for the course for WCW

While Butcher was arguing with the ref, Savage hit Hogan with the elbow drop and Hogan immediately popped up.

Beefcake Barber let go of the hold before he let the ref hold Hogan's arm up to see if he was still conscious.

Of course it's completely unrealistic, but I personally was thoroughly entertained by the revival elbow and don't mind it at all.

No telling when the draft itself will peter out - I left it open-ended from the start, and wanted to just let it wind down when it naturally dies down. But as far as I'm concerned, people can keep posting writeups on awful moments ITT until the end of time.

You could turn it into a free-for-all with anybody and everybody able to post other WOATness.
