I can go ahead and run this.

All of these terms open to negotiations and suggestions, but I'll just lay out a proposed first set of rules:

What qualifies?

Everything spanning from a single non-match segment (including segments directly adjacent to matches, like post-match sequences) to a long-term storyline. You will identify what you're taking. There have to be reasonable limits, of course...stuff like "the entire babyface run of <terrible babyface>" won't fly. Stuff from a match that is necessary to context can be involved, but the quality of the match won't help the value of your pick, except to the extent that it has heated up or killed a crowd.

Time

8-hour clock. If ever you get skipped due to an expired clock, you get put on auto-skip and should endeavor to catch up ASAP. Once you do, your clock loses an hour per skip until you hit a floor of 4 hours. You will always have a 4-hour clock unless you're on auto-skip (whether that be as a result of timing out or as a result of asking to be skipped).

Number of Picks

The draft will end on its own momentum. If at some point it seems to be dead, I will declare a formal end to it and we will go into free-for-all, when participants and railbirds alike can just throw out writeups of wrestling awfulness.

Should I Provide Good Writeups?

Yes, you lazy oaf.

Signups

The discussion about this draft and who was interested happened long enough ago in the WM thread that I don't want to assume that anyone but Dylan (who bumped the idea today) and myself are in. So, here's the list:

1. LKJ
2. Dylan
3. ???

Feel free to sign up. We'll start when we get reasonably filled.

I guess I'm confused. An 8-hour clock will rule you out?

One more spot. Will also allow up to two more stragglers in while the first round is ongoing, set a hard cap at 12.

My big board is at 40 already and I haven't even given it much serious thought.

Does a moment count if it wasn't planned? It's hard to compare tragic accidents with terrible booking decisions.

I agree, curious if we're thinking of the same thing.

Certainly not looking for tragic accidents; we are here to celebrate abject wrestling stupidity in all of its glory.

There's a bit of a grey area here in that it seems like botches can sometimes elevate already-stupid ideas to a new level, but if most of the reason that a moment stood out as awful was because of an accident rather than a plan, that's a low-value choice. Making Owen Hart put the Blue Blazer costume back on may have been stupid, but if that angle had run its natural course then it's hard to imagine that it ever would have rated well in a draft like this. Yes, it was also really stupid to send him up to the top of Kemper Arena for the sake of executing such a half-baked stunt, but that's probably not the type of stupid we're looking for.

Last paragraph notwithstanding, I guess I'll add the disclaimer that people should strive to avoid ever naming undrafteds. I did it in that last one to draw an example of what isn't a good choice.
