Orndorff turning on Hogan against Studd and Bundy on Superstars. I'd been watching for a few months prior, but that was the first moment that truly hooked me in.

I actually think it's a combo. I loved DiBiase because of his laugh. Only later in life did I realize how great he was. Money Inc was one of my favorite teams. I must have started watching before WM9, but it's my earliest memory of wrestling, and certainly my first ppv.

I vaguely remember this storyline, but forget the reason for it. I know it was something Heenan orchestrated where Orndorff blamed Hogan for something. This was the beginning of my hating Hogan by the way. My logic was that if everyone was always turning on him (Orndorff, Andre, Savage), then it must not be them, but something wrong with him. He must be a bad friend.

I remember stumbling across a random jobber infested episode of Superstars in the evening some time in 1987 and thinking this looks interesting, Jake the Snake was a standout

Then I went over to my friends the next week and they had rented out Survivor Series 87 and I was hooked

I stopped watching in 92 or 93 when my mate kept going on about how fake it was and I was like yeah this is bull**** lol

Back into it due to the network and keen to catch up on all that I missed

I'm not entirely sure, but every time I think of where my wrestling fandom started, it was at this entrance.

(don't know how to embed non-youtube videos)

When I was younger my best friend was a huge wrestling fan. He kept trying to get me into it but for whatever reason I was always just ehhh on it. Then one day I was at his house after school and he says that I HAVE to see this match from last night. I say na, but he insists and I give in. He puts the tape in the VCR and within 3 minutes I see Mankind thrown off the top of the HiaC by Taker. My reaction is "holy ****" and I was glued. We watched the entire ppv and Raw that night. Hooked from that moment on.

I'm surprised nobody said Coconut. If I weren't already kinda into it at that point, that definitely would have been the moment for me. You don't even really have to say anything else. Just Coconut.

He really ****ing clobbered him too. It wasn't a "pulled punch". That wouldn't even be allowed today with all the headshot rules....unless it was CM Punk.

If I'd been watching when this originally happened, I would've said this for sure.

A few memories really stick out for me. I've gone in and out of wrestling for years, so a few stand out.

Everything Hulkamania. Him losing to Undertaker really shocked me. I think it was a long time before I realized he won the title back at Tuesday in Texas or whatever it was.

Shawn Michaels winning the 1995 Royal Rumble. Looking back at the Roster that was in the 95 Royal Rumble there was really nobody else that could have won it. In fact, it's probably my least favorite rumble ever, but when he won it, my 11 year old self ran outside and did his posses on my driveway as snow was coming down. My 5 year old brother thought I was nuts but I think he joined me in some HBK poses.

Couple years later, Steve Austin. I remember watching the RAW when he first stunned Vince. I ran around the house giving the furniture and walls middle fingers and fake stunning the air. I remember seeing my reflection in a window and flicking myself off. As I looked past my reflection I saw my neighbor looking at me stunned. My neighbor was the mayor of the small town I grew up in. I can still see her face. I hid as fast as I could and worried for a day or two how I would explain that one to my parents. Luckily she never said anything, or I'm not sure I would have been allowed to watch wrestling anymore. From that point on I kept my flick offs to a more private setting.

I'd say the CM Punk "Pipe Bomb" got me back into it this most recent time around. I'm on and off all the time. I try to catch the PPVs and I might get through an episode of Raw here or there, but most of that is due to lack of time and not some attack on the current brand. In fact, I'm getting more excited for it than I have in a while.
