I remembered that time where they fired Mankind due to that pink slip on a pole match with the Rock, and I also remembered the week before No Way Out where Cactus Jack ran amok and got locked in a holding cage tied to the DX express because of it. Good times during the year 2000.

Edit: Ehhh, f*ck it, I'm gonna go watch that Cactus Jack/HHH Hell in a Cell match.

Also, compare the whole Rock and the WWF roster, on that one Raw episode, threatening to walk out on HHH to the "walkout" last year, note the differences that makes one look meaningful and one that look like HHH buried the roster.

Sasaki vs Kobashi - 7/18/05: Incredible match. It's worth seeking out but chances are if you haven't heard of it you don't like puro and you will think this is the most boring match ever or you do watch puro in which case you've already seen this a couple times.

Re: What match are you currently watching atm?

Luger vs Flair - WrestleWar 90: match got ****1/2 from Meltzer. what a terrible match. a few very noticeable botches, too many hulk-ups by luger, match was a good 10 minutes too long, and had a really predictable and bad ending.

I don't think this match is terrible, but I wouldn't go out of my way to watch it. It was one of those things that seemed really good given the storylines and situation at the time and not something that is a classic out of context.

Re: What match are you currently watching atm?

I wish I hadn't gone out of my way to watch it but usually Meltzer is good at giving lots of stars to entertaining matches. I'd put this match at below average. Like 2 stars or something. Luger is just so bad which makes a 30+ minute match very tedious. I did enjoy their Starrcade 88 match a few months ago when we did the best match voting.

On the 3rd anniversary of Misawa's death I'm watching his best stuff which includes:

vs Jumbo - 6/8/90
vs Kawada - 6/3/94 in the GOAT singles match.
w/Kobashi vs Taue/Kawada - 6/9/95 in a match that will never be topped.

Re: What match are you currently watching atm?

I am currently watching a very interesting brawl/improv battle royal that involved everyone that was on the card for Wrestlemania 2000. This occurred the Smackdown before the WM. It started beyond the 4:00 mark and gets progressively better from there. It was such a dynamic, compared to today, ending to the Smackdown that gets people jacked up and excited for WM.

Re: What match are you currently watching atm?

The Rock vs. Billy Gunn the night after Wrestlemania 15. The match isn't the best but man Shane's commentary is the GOAT. I really hope he comes back for the 1000th episode of Raw.

Re: What match are you currently watching atm?

I got a lot of time on my hands, so I'm going to watch my favorite Royal Rumble match, which is the 2004 version.

Re: What match are you currently watching atm?

Gonna go ahead and watch one of the two GOAT matches at WM 10, and its the traditional wrestling one, not the ladder match.

Bret vs Owen

Young Sean Waltman was very, very good. Such a far cry from the garbage he became later.

Re: What match are you currently watching atm?

After saying in the other thread that HHH/Austin 3 Stages of Hell was better than Flair/Steamboat I decided to watch it again. What an amazing match.
