Man, I ploughed into this deer at a full 55 mph too. ****er appeared out of nowhere; my foot didn't even get halfway to the brake before impact. I was out in the sticks, so I wasn't going to stop and risk not being able to get going...I don't own a gun anyway, so not much I could do to help the deer out of its misery if it was still alive.

However, I did get some rather creeped-out looks from people when I made it to a gas station, stopped, and blood was seeping out from under the car.

Living in Texas I'm now use to seeing animals in the road and terrible snow drivers. True story last year my teacher canceled a class because she hit a cow on her way to work. Also the school canceled class for a day because the temperature was going to be below freezing and they "didn't want people risking their lives on the dangerous roads".

I was going 65-75 and the deer came out. I swerved from the right lane to the left lane and the ****ing thing still smashed into me

Edit: I also hit one going like 55 right at the entrance to Foxwoods. I had a Saturn which are made of plastic and fish tailed the back of my car. did 0 damage to my car

Good story behind the second deer that I hit. My buddy had bought a beat up old Ford Probe and basically stripped it and rebuilt it himself. Probably took him about a year and a half. Well, he finally gets it going and he's been driving it for a week and we decide to go up to Carrot River to go fishing with Big Wally.

He lets me drive, as I haven't driven this thing yet. After he's done work that Thursday night we decide to go so we could get up early and get three full days of fishing in before we both had to work Monday. So, it's shortly after midnight and I want to see how much pop this car has so he tells me to open it up. We're about an hour and a half from Carrot still, so I start to lay in to this thing.

We start climbing and I get to about about 140kmh (88mph) before this ****ing deer comes out of nowhere and I smoke that ****ing thing hard. Completely smashed the passenger side of the front end and busted the windshield in on to us. We were okay, but that car was screwed pretty badly. It would start, but there was no way it would move.

So we get out to survey the damage, but there is no blood. The deer is standing in the ditch looking at us. It just turns around and gallops off like nothing even happened to it. WTF? The shape of the car must have just flipped him in to the super soft grass of the ditch and it ran off without another word.

We had to call Big Wally to come get us, and he was rolling in laughter about it. Good times.

That was the weekend I got in to my only fight, but that's another story for another time.

If PETA had an entrance theme, I feel like it would be the theme to Postman Pat.

Any of you on Merge at all, any MTT players? I know ginger is a grinder (Stars?), would be nice to have some Skype company on long non-PPV days like this

Anyone watch ufc last night? I've been reading glowing reviews, think its worth tracking down for a big pro wrestling fan who's not really into mma?

any us guys play a lot of live poker in the us? I got in a tricky spot in a deep 2/5 game last night with 2nd set on the turn.

I play, but I'm a marginal winner at best anymore. I was a heads up specialist online and live full ring play hasn't been the greatest adaptation.

Yeah I play a 2/5/10 round of plo round of nlh home game a couple times a week. What happened in the hand?

I start the hand with about 950 (190 bb) main vil has me covered with about 1400.

I make it 25 to go with 88 utg (standard open) button calls (main vil), bb calls and sb calls.

Flop is 2d3d8s.

I lead out for 80, button calls bb and sb fold.

260 in pot.

turn comes Ah. So now board reads 2d3d8sAh.

Hero?????

Without any reads on the button, I'd sure hope you're still leading the turn.

His range is draw heavy. So unfortunatly 45 got there, but I lead out for 150 not wanting to give fd any free cards. He makes it 400.

??????

IS this 45 everytime or is he capable for having nfd with top pair in this spot? The sad thing is I thought with nfd/Top pair he flats and only raises with 45.

I mean the raise makes me feel sick there, but I don't see getting away. I see two lower sets than you playing that way, I see nut flush draw playing that way too. I think I shove. But then again I overplay ****.

No, lower sets raise on the flop about 80 percent of the time imo. I actually end up folding with a speech of "I folded a big hand, I show you show?" Which he agreed. I showed set of 8s, he showed 45 offsuit(wtf?!?).

Nice laydown.

It's tough to tell; I still constantly run into people who can just never bring themselves to play sets fast. Nut flush draw would be very much in play for a line like the one that guy took though.

You made it $25 with the $10 straddle on pre I assume? Definitely have to make a bigger open there, at least like $40. I guess it's fine once in awhile since you're OOP, I just want to make bitches in a live game pay. Definitely would pot flop as well. Sick turn action, I don't think I could fold, but live players just aren't going to have Axdd there with that sort of action, same with 22/33.
