if flair retired 10 years ago i wouldve voted for him.

I mean, if we're going on bad late mic work then Rocky's return is worse than anything Flair has ever done (although obviously the volume is a lot lower).

But even within the last 10 years, I would recommend taking a look at that Flair/Carlito clip in the OP if you've never seen it.

And was never any more than a catchphrase monkey. The best promos he did were stuff like Y2J's debut and that isnt because Rock was good at catchphrase number three and five when he turned up. Rock's entire bit was copied by Edge for a few years then Edge realised you need to move beyond catchphrases to be great and that is what he did. Half of the current roster can out-talk Rock on a great day, one of them has barely been on TV and he is already better consistently.

What kind of bizarro competition is this where people are seemingly measuring quality by the amount of idiots who scream when you say ****? Cos Stone Cold is way better when it comes to that!

The Rock is a hack and I hope he breaks his promise to never leave as often as possible. That way at least the capacity for people to delude themselves into thinking he is amazing can be explained by nostalgia instead of what I can only assume is a cocktail of paint fumes and meth.

As strongly as I've grown to feel that Flair should win, Phill still massively overstates the case against The Rock.

(Though I do agree that in today's wrestling world, he is a hack. However, at one time he certainly was far, far from being one.)
