I know that this match isn’t going to win any MotY awards, but it’s a history making event. It drew an insane amount of interest leading into the match, and the Hogan turn reenergized the entire industry. I’m a little nervous about using up all 6 of these dudes in one match, but this draft is just so unbelievably deep and there are so many other great wrestlers that I’m confident I can put a great under card beneath this great moment. Obviously, getting one of the GOAT promos after the match is an incredible bonus, and the real reason for picking this to top my card.

I'm glad someone took Savage/Steamboat just because I wouldn't have reasonably been able to pass on it and I didn't want the same #1 pick in consecutive drafts.

BATB 6-man was a great match but seems like a really bad pick because it wipes out so many quality wrestlers/matches for later rounds.

Yeah, losing Savage/Sting/Hogan without getting any actual great wrestling in return doesn't seem worth it to me, even though that was clearly one of the biggest markout moments in wrestling history.

Also gotta think it would have been around for you in a later round.

(I hate being repeatedly critical though since I still can't really figure what I'm gonna do.)

Punk/Cena is a very nice main event; the problem to me comes in if you want to take other legendary main eventers and then put them on an undercard beneath Punk and Cena. It just might have a meshing problem. Great match though.

I can't really disagree with anything here - but this is so impossible to predict. I wanted this match / moment, so why risk it? I have no clue when someone else may have wanted it.

And, the more I think about it - not having Luger, Hall or Nash elsewhere on my card is no biggie. So I'm using Hogan, Savage and Sting up in order to have an epic main event moment. I'm cool with that.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Technical mastery? Nope. Massive storyline build? Not really. Highest crowd excitement/time ratio of the entire draft? Absolutely.

At the time, Honky Tonk Man had been the Intercontinental Champion for over 14 months, a record that still stands today. And people were DYING to see him get beat. Warrior's shock entrance (subbing for an "injured" Brutus Beefcake) and squash win will make a great crowd-pleaser at some point in our card. Look at that crowd, they went APE**** at the Garden for this:

I don't totally hate that Warrior v. Honky pick. Certainly it's the best single moment that Honky was ever involved with, and you don't lose much by losing Warrior either. That and you used basically none of your time up. Very unconventional, and I had it a good ways down my board, but I warmed up to the idea quickly.
