Is there any flexibility whatsoever in the maximum time allowed?

I am exactly 3 seconds over in bell to bell time if i get the 3 matches i want to close out my card

If I can go 10:56 over to get the last match I want - you can go 0:03 over.

Deal?

We should let someone come in and take Hempy's team if anyone wants to. They're off to a sick start with the GOAT match.

Nah, I'd better keep it rigid. I'm running into the same problem where my plan (now that I tweaked it for the better) just barely goes over too. Conflict of interest if I start making rulings that favor me.

He said he wasn't going to be back until Monday, so his skips are of no surprise. Didn't even roll clock on him to begin with after his first pick. I assume he'll catch his own card up tomorrow.

Yeah, understandable, gah i thought i was completely sorted as i guestimated it as ~30 seconds under target then got my calculator out and sighed.

Pick 71:

Spoiler:

Spoiler:

WWF Tag Team Championship match: Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho (c) vs. Edge & Christian vs. The Dudley Boyz vs. The Hardy Boyz -- Tables, Ladders and Chairs match, SmackDown!, May 24, 2001 (21:00 according to Wikipedia)

My favourite of all the TLC matches. Benoit and Jericho are forced by Mr. McMahon to defend their newly-won tag team titles against the masters of TLC just three days after winning the belts. The champs tell an awesome story, with Benoit being taken out of the match early, leaving Jericho to try and defend the titles by himself, only for Benoit to miraculously come back at the end and grab the belts to retain.

We get a bit away from our main time period, but this match makes it worth it.

Our card:

Spoiler:
Royal Rumble for the WWF World title (1992)
WCW World Champion Vader vs. Cactus Jack, Texas death match (Halloween Havoc 93)
WWF IC title: Honky Tonk Man (c) vs. ??? (Summerslam 88)
WWF Tag titles: Chris Benoit & Chris Jericho vs. Edge & Christian vs. Dudley Boyz vs. Hardy Boyz, TLC match (SmackDown, 2001)
Mr. Perfect vs. Blue Blazer (WrestleMania V)

Spoiler:
From this PPV:

Here we have the critically acclaimed tag team match that is arguably the best in the world ever:
Spoiler:

MotorMurder City Machine Guns vs The Briscoe Brothers (c) for the ROH Tag Team Championships at Good Times, Great Memories (34:17)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PwyzPGni43Q

This is just insanely good modern tag wrestling at its finest. Silky smooth and botch free, there are high spots, low spots, technical spots, brutal beatdown spots, double team moves galore and a great story unfolding before your eyes. The vast majority of the match takes place in the ring with them not relying on the cliche trope of "its all breaking down" and "the referee has lost control of the match" and this is undoubtedly two of the best teams in the world at the time (and now) getting as much time as they want to do everything they want to create the best tag match they could make.

Clearly the co main event of my card its so damn good i dont even need another world championship match.

My card so far in order of drafting:
Spoiler:
Bret v. Owen - WM X (20:21)
X-Div. Title: Daniels v. Styles v. Joe Unbreakable '05 (22:50)
ROH World Champ Bryan Danielson vs ROH Pure Champ Nigel McGuinness Unified (25:22)
Kurt Angle vs ??? Royal Rumble 2000 (03:16)
Murder City Machine Guns vs The Briscoe Brothers (c) for the ROH Tag Team Championships at Good Times, Great Memories (34:17)

With some great value at the 69th overall pick, I select...

v.

Spoiler:

Hogan v. Warrior, WrestleMania VI (22:51)

My original declaration was that I was going with one world title match and that's it. However, once moorobot reminded me that Flair v. Steamboat was never even going last on its own card, my thinking got elevated. This is a WWF/NWA supercard, and both world titles will be defended in such a thing. This is obviously a better draw than Flair-Steamboat, and helps my balance and buyrate significantly.

Honestly, I could have maybe kept waiting on this one - all but four of my opponents are ineligible to take it, and within those four Phill and Pharoah would never have gone here. That said, despite the fact that it doesn't look like he'd go this way, yankeys is still wanting for any kind of world title match, and hempy needs one upon his return as well. I figured I should stop gambling and pull the trigger on this.

And I don't care one bit about losing the IC title; I don't want my card just jammed with belts in every match. Title matches mean more when they don't comprise 90% of the matches.

Spoiler:
My card:
-To Be Announced
Bret v. Perfect
-To Be Announced
Tag Titles: Steiners v. Sting/Luger
NWA Title: Flair v. Steamboat
-To Be Announced
Jake v. Savage
-To Be Announced
WWF/IC Title: Hogan v. Warrior

vs.

Spoiler:

WWF Championship Match: Macho Man Randy Savage vs. Hulk Hogan with Miss Elizabeth at ringside - Match Time: 17:54

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xnfc3uhdthc

Well, LKJ was on the right track in that I was going to go with a Hogan WWF Title match for my Main Event, but I really had no interest in the Warrior whatsoever, and I'd have been happy with one of four or five Hogan matches, most of which won't be drafted. I take Savage vs. Hogan at this spot, however, just to give me a monster main event to top off what I think is a solid, but not spectacular line-up. The "Mega-Powers" storyline was probably the most memorable of my lifetime, and I think I'll have no problem getting a really good buyrate on the conclusion.

My Card:

Magnum TA vs. Tully Blanchard - NWA US Title "I Quit Match" (14:43) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvVNzCI-GxQ
Bruiser Brody and Stan Hansen vs. Dory and Terry Funk - PWF World Tag Team Championship Match (18:57) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VI0jj85QX9I
Ric Flair vs. Mr. Perfect - "Loser Leaves Town Match" (23:00) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XlvLhUQ1-Yw
Wild Pegasus vs. The Great Sasuke - 1994 Super J-Cup Finals (18:46) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08pXe-jZEuA

Steve Williams and Ted DiBiase with Skandor Akbar vs. Jim Duggan and Terry Gordy in a Texas Tornado Tag Match - Match Time: 8:23

So, this isn't some technical wrestling display or some epic match, but it is a cheap and short way to get five of my favorite workers onto my card. Steve Williams and Ted DiBiase are two of my all-time favorites, and I was looking for a more important role for them, but it didn't work out. Furthermore, I like Jim Duggan and all, but how is he ALWAYS ridiculously over? Listen to this crowd cheer for him.
