Not a huge fan of going through two rounds without having any good wrestling involved yet, but Trevor's card would still be one of the most memorable of all time.

The thing is - I haven't used up really any of the great technical wrestlers. Flair, Bret, HBK, Steamboat, Angle, Benoit, etc are still out there - and there are many, many, many great matches available. I can piece in great wrestling around a couple of big moments. I don't think that there are nearly as many big moments for others to piece around their great wrestling - and I think a mix of the two makes a great card.

I, for one, very much like the thinking here (as sort of evidenced by our own card as well).

Thanks, glad people are enjoying. It is really damn tough to value matches, especially with some of the left field (though not necessarily bad) picks so far. There are matches on my board that I feel could be on nobody else's radar and I can wait until the 5th round on them, but then I'm not going to be mortally shocked if they leave the board on the next pick.

I'll echo the appreciation for this draft; it's been a lot of fun so far. I was refreshing furiously during the peak hours for picks and even the "obvious" picks were surprises.

I think the only thing we need is a Mel Kiper-esque "Big Board" so we can ridicule the Darius Heyward-Bay-like selections.

Good pick Phill with the Unbreakable Triple Threat match. I guess I should've picked that first instead of thinking it would fall to me in the second round.

My 2nd pick;

LordCC has my favorite card so far, I just can't get over how ****ing awesome that Do Fixer vs Blood Generation match is. And Joe/Angle is a great match to pair it up with.

That Angle/Joe angle when Angle arrived was one of the few times I had hopes that TNA would have an infusion of creative energy and start to grow and improve. Dashed quickly of course.

I think once the main event mafia started, it kinda went in the wrong direction.

I think TNA started moving in the wrong direction the moment Joe didn't go over in that match and certainly a long time before the MEM. The PPVs in 2005 and 2006 were awesome but since then have been pretty meh with a few exceptions imo.

Tbh I've not seen this match, but I still think it's a good solid pick unseen.

More or less, though that exact story was a clone of what another federation did and that was critically acclaimed so the concept I think is fine, but it dragged on to long then they pulled the plug on the payoff of the young talent going over the veterans which was the entire point.

How long was Angle in tna before that match with Samoa Joe? Tna booking makes my head hurt.
It might be unfair to tna, but having matches with a 4 sided and a 6 sided ring on the same card seems awkward.

Yes, iirc Angle debuted, cut a promo, Joe walked out, Angle headbutted him, they fought, then they did that match at the next ppv, but its been ages since ive looked it up.

Edit, looked it up, he debuted, they fought pretty much as i said, then Angle was a guest ref at the next PPV then they had him end Joe's long unbroken win streak at the PPV after that.

Ignoring the quality of the match (as ive said ive not had chance to watch it) the booking is terrible, they should be doing a no contest finish like a double DQ or a time limit draw, then have Angle go over if they really have to push him that hard (tbh id have Joe take the first win then have Angle end the streak after then keep the feud simmering in the background for months).
